This research "An investigation of practicing theories of language, methodologies and syllabus design towards Second language learning curriculum of higher secondary level of Bangladesh- An investigation of effectiveness of communicative language teaching curriculum in SLA context" will focus on the broader arena of applied linguistics. It will demonstrate the importance of theoretical and practical aspects of developing a curriculum that considers the analysis of theories of language learning, teaching methodologies and syllabus design in a foreign or second language context like Bangladesh. The aspect of language teaching methodology that mostly related to syllabus design is theory of language. To determine what to be taught and its sequence, the underlying theory of language plays an important role. The importance of form focused methodologies and syllabuses in second language learning is very important as the basic unit of teaching here is grammar, lexical and pronunciation. But for some unrevealed reasons researchers have shown less interest to conduct researches in this field and try to give focus on the functions or meaning in terms of second and foreign language teaching.
