...gods were amazed. Kalimdor told them what happened on the battle field and the gods were so grateful and astounded, that not only did they let Kalimdor keep “the Reapers Slayer” but they also had him join the same ranks of them. The rank of the gods.
Now that Kalimdor was a god he was given his new powers which were his ability to heal people with light. Kalimdor was also given another power; he was given the ability to resurrect people who had died for unjust reasons. With his new powers Kalimdor ran to his father’s resting place and brought his father back to life.
From that day forth Kalimdor continued to heal those who were in true need, defend those who needed defending, and granting miracles of life whenever it was needed.
As for Kalimdor’s father he spent the rest of his days knowing that his dream had come true. His son had finally become a god.
Achilles, son of Thetis, also had divine blood flowing through his veins. He, however, was well aware of his mortality, as he chose a shortened lifespan full of glory over a longer, non-glorious life. "Alas, that you should be at once short of life and long of sorrow above your peers," exclaims his mother. (Butler, I). Despite accepting his mortality, Achilles, like Gilgamesh, was blessed with unequaled strength and skill as t...
Asoka, an emperor born in 304 BC, earns the title as an “enlightened ruler.” He guarded his citizens during the Conquest of Kalinga by teaching them how to properly govern, and conquer land non-aggressively, which helped them become a conjoined country. During his reign, he did few malevolent things but he surpassed them with the positive deeds. Some of those accomplishments included providing services for the men he murdered, allowing the citizens who were to be killed to speak with their family, and laboring hard for his people and their futures.

Later, on the year of 1177, the young boy was captured by one of his father’s old tribes, the Tayichiud. These men enslaved and tortured him. It wasn’t until a father of the tribe, Chilaun, helped him escape. He soon joined forces with other men and his name spread quickly around the Mongols. From a very early age, I was listening to the Vedas. In it, gods such as Varuna, Vishnu, Yama, Rudra, Agni, Indra and Vashistha and others are eulogized. I listen to the stories of the gods and get lost in the dream of the kingdom of heaven. Among gods, I loved to listen to stories about Indra, to whom my father has eulogized a lot. Gods and rishis were his devotees. He was the king of gods- the lord of three worlds. No one is comparable to him on heroism, wealth, beauty, kindness, charity, and courage. His heroism and greatness overwhelmed me. By the time, I was seven, I knew enough about Indra and imagined him to be the most desirable male.

And finally he listened to the advice of the creatures around him and he came to trust in others as he would expect others to trust him. He found what he was looking for in life, happiness.
Oftentimes, he would take the front line and risk his life to death. He himself would load the cannon which was supposed to be the commander’s job. At the end of the battle, he would rise up covered with filth and gun powder. With this act, his followers felt a great sense of awe which made them feel like he was one of them.
