My Experience: My Journey To Johnson Bible College

When you are six years old, you do not have much say in what you do and where you go. This was especially the case when my parents decided to take a group of high school seniors to Johnson Bible College for a preview weekend. There was no question that my little sister and I would be tagging along. Honestly, I do not remember much of the journey down there or what all we did. But I did fall head over heels in love with the Johnson campus. I knew that was where I wanted to be. A few years later, my parents still being the full time youth ministers at my church, we packed the camper up and headed to Wonder Valley Christian camp to work a senior week. I was not the valedictorian. I was not even close. But I did, and still do, continue to challenge myself and pursue knowledge eagerly and willingly (Often times with a lot of prayer and coffee). I graduated high school in the top ten percent of my class and 22 hours of college credits. I was actively involved in a wide range of activities and groups and tried to model the life of Jesus in all that I did. That is not to say I am a perfect Christian. Nothing could be more farther from the truth. Going to a public school is not easy. I had my faith and morals challenged numerous times. During my higher level classes my senior year I was really challenged to dig deep and discover what was really at my core. To be perfectly honest, it was one of the hardest things I have ever done. I was challenged daily in group discussions, essays, and various debates both in and out of the classroom. For the first time I had to think for myself, formulating my own opinions and trying to figure out where my faith fit in to all of
