In Plato’s “The Allegory Of The Cave” a lot of symbolization of life now with close minded people and back when he wrote the story exists till this day. People who are only taught one thing or don’t have any other vision or don’t expand their mind. For example the people in the story only seeing the cave their whole life have no idea what the world is like.

The cave is a symbol of life close minded people live. The prisoners in the cave have never seen anything but the cave. For example, people who are taught to be racists from the time they are born are most likely will grow up racist, they don’t understand other people’s ideas or reasons of others just the ones they were taught. It’s crazy life now still reflects with life today. That's how you know people don’t open their minds up to new ideas. If people opened up their minds I feel as if the world would be a nicer place because people would understand other people’s situation. Like when the prisoner went outside and was blinded, confused, and hurt by the sun. It's almost like when a person tries to experience a different way or discover something new and he or she are confused, uncertain, or have doubts by the new method. This recurs in real life situations when a person opens their mind and try new methods or try to look at an issue in somebody else’s perspective. This is why I believe the sun represents a side-effects coming with new ideas.
