I believe the purpose of Nike is to inspire individuals to be spontaneous and to go after whatever they desire. In this case, the children in the advertisement decided to jump into a lake without any hesitation. The outlined text inspired them to “Just do it.” I see that Nike wants its organization and consumers to be spontaneous individuals who rise to the occasion, and strive to achieve whatever they desire. The trademark all started in nineteen-sixty four by a track runner named Phillip Knight and his coach Bill Bowerman, the forefather of the company called Blue Ribbon Sports.
The company originally distributed for a Japanese line, known as ASICS. During the early 70’s Blue Ribbon Sports prepared to launch its own footwear line. The joint venture would eventually lead to the revolutionary of Nike’s swoosh logo, which is named after the Greek goddess of victory. Throughout the 80’s Nike expanded its product internationally which included sports apparel, headbands, shoe strings, and even various types of fitness equipment. Nike strives to produce goods that appeal to athletes of all types, as well as insure that their products are constructed with top of the line and durable materials. Though Nike is a multibillion dollar and powerful industry, they have a darker segment to their company that may even divulge them.

... working conditions. Without these countries, as well as our own, enabling laws to protect workers, Nike will continue to use the cheapest labor possible so that their goods may be affordable to everyone.
As I concluded I believe that Nike should at least treat their employees better and offer them satisfactory work conditions. They should also conduct an employee inspection of each factory to make sure that they are operating appropriately. The way that the employees are treated in Nike’s facilities appalled me and changed my outlook on Nike. As I stated I could not imagine one of my family members working in a horrendous place that involves beating, ridiculous low wages, sexual harassment, and unnecessary extreme disciplinary actions. Though they may provide jobs for the unfortunate in third world countries they should at least provide humane working conditions.
