Firstly, I had learned that poor people also lack sufficient money amounts to live at a standard normalness in a society. Next, in class I learned through the ted talk that people, especially in rural countries are poor because their lacking education, immunizations and more. Next, in my opinion I believe that to stop or help prevent poverty, a suggestion would be to tax the rich more instead of the middle to lower class people who then could afford the basic needs. I believe this would work, because it would help balance things out in the economy so the rich doesn't get richer and the poor doesn’t get poorer so they can afford extra needs. Finally, in the Ted Talk, it makes me think about why wouldn’t more people help, especially the rich. Could it be because the rich thinks the poor should find a better job that will make money, causing the rich to not give? Or could it be greed is benefiting the rich, therefore causing no need to give to the poor. With these questions that pop up in my head there’s probably no real answer to stop poverty. The issue of global wealth redistribution has become an increasingly fundamental topic in our globalized world. The vast amount of literature on this topic has left philosophers and economists to seek questions on whether there is a duty to redistribute wealth and in what way it should be distributed globally. The uncertainty over this remains a key impediment to real life progress. Nevertheless, the crucial aspect of this debate is to understand whether individuals have an obligation to redistribute wealth internationally. There are many deep controversial issues that conflict with the justness of responsibility. However in this paper, I will be using a cosmopolitan outlook by opening up the discussion of the current global situation and what duty an individual in the developed states has to redistribute globally. I will also analyze the poverty in the third world, and assess whether distributing wealth is the most effective mechanism compared to other alternatives.
There are many different ideologies in regard to how to deal with poverty in America. One such ideology is the redistribution of wealth. This idea is predominantly held by liberals, and on the surface it may sound like a good idea. However, so far it has proven to be ineffective. As a long term plan the redistribution of wealth will do nothing but harm the economy, and as a result the American people. Not only is it ineffective, but it is also immoral. The redistribution of wealth is most certainly not the answer to the problem of poverty in America.
Everyone has his or her own ideas of how wealth should be distributed properly. Some people believe wealth should be left to family, left for public services, or become the property of others. Others believe that people should not have excess wealth, resulting in non-existent class distinctions. An alternative view is that wealth is not distributed; instead, the wealthy continue to grow wealthier while those in poverty can not escape it and fall further into a life of poverty. The beliefs discussed above come from three different writers. Those writers include Andrew Carnegie, Karl Marx, and Robert B. Reich. These writers all have different opinions on how wealth should be distributed properly.
As J. Samuelson stated in his article Rx for Global Poverty that the developed world abolished starvation, homelessness as well as material deprivation, but other countries are still facing the problem of poverty. This shows that poverty is an urgent issue as there is no equitable distribution of wealth on the whole scale of planet earth.

We must better educate the youth and have education available for everyone all over the world. We also need to ensure that everyone has a job and that they are properly skilled for the job. People need to realize that poverty affects everyone, not only the poor and uneducated. Our world would be a much better place if everyone pitched in to help defeat a major problem around the world, poverty.
