Success without adversity is impossible. Everyone in life has their ups and downs and nothing in this world is perfect. At some point in life, hardships begin to occur and that’s when the real test begins. Some people rise up and try their absolute best to take a stand against the challenge. Then there are others that would crawl back into their shells, crying for mercy. There should be no excuse for giving up or not putting in the effort. People are only successful in winning the battle of adversity when they are mentally tough. The intense game of adversity can be referred to football.

In this assignment, both control in the workplace and work satisfaction dimensions will be analysed at length. Relating them both to the case study of the Sports Direct Company and other relevant organisational theories; such as scientific management. Sports Direct was founded in 1982 by Michael Ashley in Maidenhead. In 18 years, ‘Mike’ Ashley expanded internationally opening stores in Belgium, and just seven years later listed his company on the London stock exchange. It was that listing that really kick-started Sports Directs’ exponential growth. 2 years later in 2009, Sports Direct established market leadership after their sales exceeded £1.0bn (Sports Direct, no date given). The NFL is always trying to expand its’ brand. They have played exhibition games in Canada, Mexico, Australia, Japan, Spain and a few other countries. There is talk now that the NFL is interested in putting a franchise over in London. Any team that is located in London is a horrible idea. That team in London would cause so much disorder. The UK is 5 hours ahead of the U.S. which would cause major scheduling conflicts with the already established franchises in America. Everyone knows that soccer would automatically come first. There is no way London would be able to put soccer behind a football team. There is no talent pool in Europe. All of the players would have to come the United States and the team would rather just be playing in America,
The National Football League (NFL) has been a staple on Sunday’s in America homes for quiet sometime. It provides excitement and generates billion’s of dollars, but what I told you that this league may lose viewers or even not exist in a few years. The NFL is a great brand, but what is potentially going up against may have you scratching your head as a parent to let your child even take a snap early in his football career if not taken care of.

Though beaten, bloody, and drained of energy, the two teams in competition still thirst for victory and strive to defeat their opponents. Both teams can smell victory in the air and give their all to come out on top of this football game. All kinds of emotions stir, and as the men pound at each other constantly, the crowd roars. Because of all of the intensity involved in the game, football is on of the world’s most popular sports, however, understanding the game of football is not easy. A governing body is usually structured in a way to attain its definite missions within the environment in which it works. However one of the main challenges this process might face is its process because the governing body must sustain a level of stability and consistency, as well as be responsive to change in the marketplace over time.
