The Sunshine State
Choosing a vacation destination can be difficult. When deciding a destination there are many things to consider. Two of the most important considerations are the climate, and activities that are available. California is one of the top destinations for many people. California is also known as the “Sunshine State”. The beautiful state has many things to offer for families, couples, and singles. The top places that are visited in Southern California include many amusements and popular site seeing. A few top places are Disneyland, San Diego Zoo, Sea World, Hollywood Boulevard, and Catalina Island. These are a few of the top attractions in Southern California. Ultimately where you choose to visit will be a personal choice.
Southern California is considered to have one of the best year-round of any destination in the United States. There is a brief season of rain, which falls in the months of December, January and February. The average rainfall in Southern California is twelve inches and 90% of the rain will occur during these three months. The average temperature range is between sixty-eight and eighty-three. Temperatures can differ as much as twenty degrees depending on the area of Southern California. Coastal areas that are close to the ocean are cooler while inland areas are warmer due to the Santa Ana winds. Fog can occur during June due to the arid winds pulling moisture from the ocean. This can sometimes be referred to as the “June Gloom”. Fog will typically burn off, by the sun, around noon each day. The fog during June tends to make the mornings cooler and afternoons and evenings warmer.

The garden is only a few hundred feet from his residence. In the middle of the island is a town called Avalon that has shops and restaurants. Cars are not allowed on the island and the only form of transportation is a golf cart, which can be rented. The beauty of the island and the slow pace makes it a great place to relax and enjoy.
I believe that Southern California is a great place to visit because of the great weather and the beautiful and fun attractions to visit. This would be a great place for a vacation. I might be a little bit biased since on May 17, 1995, I was born in Southern California and lived there for the first 10 years of my life. I have many fond memories of the Sunshine State.
