The Suffering Servant of Isaiah
Isaiah 52:13-53:12 describes Christ Jesus and what He will accomplish for the glory of God to win the battle with Satan over the souls of His Children, whom He loves.
Verse 13 says, that He will “act wisely, “be raised, lifted up and highly exalted” (Isaiah, 52:13, NIV). Isaiah also speaks of his wisdom when he says, “The Spirit of the Lord will rest on him—the Spirit of wisdom and of understanding…” (Isaiah 11:2, NIV). John 3:14-15 says, “Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the wilderness, so the Son of Man must be lifted up, that everyone who believes may have eternal life in him.” Philippians 2:9 tells us that Jesus was highly exalted by God, “Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name” (NIV).
In verse 14, Isaiah states, “many were appalled at him” and “his figure was so disfigured…”. This passage is speaking of Christ being flogged and mutilated, beaten beyond recognition, just as Matthew recalls, “Then he released Barabbas to them. But he had Jesus flogged, and handed him over to be crucified” (Matthew 27:26, NIV). In verses Matthew describes

The final temptation of the Temple and The Son of God claiming God head draws a parallel with Faith.
This fragment is taken from THE NEW TESTAMENT (King James version). More importantly, the fragment appears in THE GOSPAL ACCORDING TO ST. MATTHEW, which is the first gospel out of four. While there is no speaking character in the fragment, it is possible to witness several characters in it. First, there are the wise men who came to visit and see baby Jesus. Second, when they entered the house, they saw Jesus with “Mary, his mother.” In this fragment, one can notice the significance of the wise men (Magi). First we see his humiliation, obviously his humanity and being made flesh was his humiliation, but inside v6, 7 and 8 we find in some detail the humiliation our Lord was subject to. The word of `no reputation' is 'Kenoo' which in the Greek means to empty or abase. By emptying himself he then took on the form of men.
...is composed of two natures, one external, one internal, one divine the other human, one invisible and one visible. “For notwithstanding this supreme and divine state, he experienced swaddling clothes, the crèche, childhood and the powerlessness of childhood, flight and persecution” (pg 144). God experienced the lowliness of human nature. Even though Jesus experienced all these states he was truly God-man. However, the glory of the Father wasn’t established in him yet. It was deferred by the plan of God for his son. This division only existed in Jesus. It was for the sole purpose of representing and erasing the separation that occurred between God and his creatures through sin. Jesus was separated from glory due to love. So its our duty to love Jesus in his love. It was due to love he gave his divinity to humanity. The mystery is love and only can be love.
Isaiah 53:1-12 is discussing the crucifixion of Jesus and man’s response to it. It states that there was no characteristic of Jesus that would draw man unto him, but rather he was hated and outcast among the people. Then the passage gives man hope. Jesus died to open a pathway for forgiveness and took on our sin, so that even men who despised him would have an opportunity to enter into a relationship with Him. The passage also declares that Jesus died the perfect death since He was blameless at the time of the crucifixion and no unholy word was uttered from His mouth. Finally, the passage discusses the Lord’s joy in Jesus’s death. The Lord was glad at the crucifixion, because now fallen man could return to a loving and personal relationship

Jesus is God's solution for our salvation. In Genesis God spoke for the first time about Messiah, who will rebuild the relation between God and man. Messiah came and died, carries out the God's plan of salvation. Jesus suffered for our sins and died in our place.
The common theme throughout the book of Isaiah is that the Lord is almighty. He is in control and He is worthy of trust. In chapters 7 and 8 of Isaiah we see one of the most misunderstood and well-known stories in the book. The setting of this story takes place during the split of Israel into the two kingdoms of Israel and Judah. There was already a great deal of stress between the two kingdoms, however this tension was intensified by the powerful nation of Assyria who threatened many of the surrounding smaller nations. This impending threat caused the king of Israel, Pekah, and the king of Syria, Rezin, to form an alliance so that they might able to defend against the Assyrians. Both Syria and Israel were pressuring Judah to join their coalition so they might benefit from Judah’s power and resources. However king Ahaz was not in favor of the alliance, for he wanted to keep his alliance with Assyria healthy. Consequently, Israel and Syria conspired against Judah, planning on besieging the city. We are told in Isaiah 7:6 that their desire was to replace King Ahaz with a man who would support them in their stance against the Assyrians. This man was to be “the Son of Tabeel”. Which means, “good for nothing”. This could mean that they just simply wanted to replace Ahaz with someone who would just be their pawn and would do what they say. On the other hand, according to some scholars, “Tabeel” is the name of an actual person or of a town in northeastern Palestine. Ahaz determined himself to never be replaced by that good for nothing. Essay: The Bible says Jesus of Nazareth was a teacher who used miracles to help people. In reality he was a wandering man whose simple tricks and healing remedies were mistaken for miracles. He wandered Judea preaching about the validity of the jewish laws. This gained him a large following. Roman officials caught wind of this and were scared of an uprising. So they had him executed; however this had the opposite effect. The jewish sect that followed Jesus was pacified for some time but emerged again as Christianity, with a larger following than before. Eventually, and ironically, it ended up surviving the Roman Empire.
The influence of Jesus of Nazareth, the man, was enormous in his lifetime two millenniums ago, but even more incredible is how his influence has increased today as a member of Christianity's Holy Trinity. Nearly two billion of the world's people worship Jesus as the Son of God today, and even more participate in the mission he began of giving oneself through service to others.
One may notice his divinity by the simplicity of Jesus’ birth in the infancy narrative. The King of Kings was humbly born in a manger where the shepherds flocked to admire him. The angel said to them, "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among men with whom he is pleased!" (Luke 2:14) One sees Jesus’ humanity through his innocence and grace at the beginning of his life. The reader may connect with the humanly tasks that Mary and Joseph must attend to before the birth of Jesus. Jesus was not born in a castle or elaborate setting, but a simple manger in the small town of Bethlehem. The modesty of Jesus’ birth is a source that anyone can identify with. Another example of his humanity occurs in the Garden of Gethsemane. Jesus prays to his Father and says, "Father, if thou art willing, remove this cup from me; nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done" (Luke 22:42). One can sympathize with Jesus because of the physical pain he knows is about to unfold. The grief that Jesus speaks of is a sorrow that the reader can feel within their heart. Jesus’ humanity acts as the most intimate form of theology that people can connect with. His divinity reveals a different element to Jesus’ character which creates a type of awe that is a necessity in Catholicism
Jesus was beaten, mocked, and spit on before His crucifixion. A crown of thorns was placed on His head, and he was stripped while also being forced to carry His own cross. He was led to Golgotha where he would be crucified, and offered a mixture of vinegar, gall and myrrh to drink but refused. Stake-like nails were driven through His hands and feet, crucifying him to an old rugged cross between two convicted criminals. Jesus talked to people from the cross, and even called out “My God, My God, why hast Thou forsaken me?” At that point, darkness covered the land. A little while later, as Jesus gave up His spirit, an earthquake shook the ground, ripping the Temple veil in two from top to bottom. (Matthew 27:32-54)
