As I have noted, I truly believe that the numerous job skills that are needed to be successful include dedication, communication, and adaptation. First of all, you must be devoted to your career if you want exemplary results. Equally important, being able to articulate your ideas, and intellectually communicate said ideas will ensure a successful time at you occupation. Last but not least, in order to be successful in your employment, you must be flexible to the obstacles that are inevitable. I urge you to strive to obtain these essential job skills because they are worthwhile.
Looking back on the practicum experience, it is clear that I learned much professionally and personally. I embarked on this experience feeling nervous, lacking in confidence and uncertain about what lay ahead. My first few days were a whirlwind adjusting to the chaotic, dynamic, and ongoing crises that are typical of the hospital setting. I was not prepared for the level of crisis that is a reality of Cumberland Hall and how at any moment a patient can spiral emotionally and become unstable. To respond, calmly, skillfully, empathically and professionally takes experience and knowledge. All of which, I have yet to acquire.
In the business world you need to have the ability to adapt with the skills listed below. This would include listening skills, assertiveness, negotiable skills, ability to handle criticism or feedback both good and bad. The ability to persuade and interview potential clients, customers, partners & employees.
While working or while looking for work there are certain skills sets that are universally important. No matter what job or career path you have chosen these skills make it easier to obtain your goals, whatever they may be.
Darci Deakin FCHD 4950 Assignment #2 Most challenging Experience The most challenging experience I have encountered while at my practicum site, USU Cache County Extension, is not being able to speak Spanish. The extension office teaches many programs in Spanish including Latino Finance, Latino IDA, and Food Sense Latino Mommy and Me. During these classes, many individuals can speak English, but there is a good handful that only speak Spanish. I feel that I am not able to communicate with these individuals and am unable to answer their questions and help them further understand the concepts that we are teaching.
One of the greatest strengths I bring to the field practicum is optimism. In the helping profession I believe hope/positivity is very important because it affects how I see problems, how I solve problems, how I help my clients, and how I make decisions. Secondly, self-awareness would be another strength I have to offer. I am constantly doing self-evaluations of my heart, motives, biases, and good/bad habits. This allows me to continue to improve myself as an individual and as an employee. My greatest limitation would be fear of failure. I have this burning desire to help individuals, families, and communities, but in doing that I do not want to fail them. My desire of wanting to provide clients with the best and seeing them succeed is a strength

Accomplishing your aim or purpose can be the true definition of success. You must want to achieve your goals at hand. You must want to earn everything. You really should put in the effort needed to become a successful person. Becoming a successful person requires you to be an extraordinary character. This means you have to be a very self-disciplined, competent, and trustworthy person. That allows you to become more trusted within the community and earn more respect.
