I have been living away from family since the age of 16. The farther away I have been from home, the greater cultural diversity I have experienced. At the age of 16, I left my hometown in India to study in another state in the country. I spent two years studying in an international residential high school. After graduating from high school, I left the country to study in the United States. Wherever I have lived, I have always cherished experiencing the commonalities and dissimilarities between the culture I come from and where I am living. It would be a great privilege for me to take my study abroad voyage to the next level, empowering me to approach future circumstances with a better and richer understanding of the world!
Studying abroad in the United Kingdom, specifically England has been something that I have always aspired and looked forward to.
One of the other reasons that always enticed me to study or travel in the UK has to be my love for the game of cricket. I have been a cricket fanatic since the age of seven. …show more content…

By the end of this academic year, I would end up with 10 out of 11 required courses in Economics. The study abroad program that I have chosen to be a part of titled “IES Study London” encompasses a comprehensive British experience that greatly stands out as a program that covers subjects ranging from theatre to finance. Although I would mostly be taking political science/sociology classes, I would get a huge opportunity to share space and interact with students from distinct academic and cultural backgrounds.
