Students Access to Computers

In some states the schools are not allowed to have computers for their student to have access to them. However, in other states schools think it is better for the student to have access to computers whenever they need them! I think that students should be allowed the access to computers during school but for only certain uses. If the school does allow access to computers, the student will find ways around sites they are not allowed on. Although there are a lot of cons as to allowing students access to computers there are also pros to, such as the students grades may incline more than usual.
There are many bad reasons when it comes to allowing students access to computers, it distracts the student especially when they have laptops or IPads in front of them. It doesn’t help the teacher any either when they are trying to teach a lesson and the students are on their computers talking to other kids, listening to music, or playing games. When it comes to students and their social media sites such as Instagram, FaceBook, Twitter, Tumblr, etc… the students tend to get distracted with it. We always have to keep up with the latest gossip about the fights or anything that is going on with anyone and everyone. With students having access to school computers they are either distracted from class work, getting in trouble or causing trouble. Nearly eighty percent of teenagers use social-networking sites; however a high rate of these teenagers lives are posted on the Internet and it is the good and bad things (Teens, Kindness…2). With everything posted on the internet people are always commenting back to something, sometimes it is positive happy things, but there are also the people who post the negative things which tend to be someone bully...
