Statement of Purpose

“You have to dream before your dreams can come true.” said Dr. A.P.J AbdulKalam the former president of India , referring that , it is the driving force behind the ambition of my life. I always marvelled at the progress of mankind in the field of science and technology and its impact on day to day lives. My dream is to be a part of such a team and the field. Having done three and a half year inspiring course in Electronics and Communications Engineering, I would like to use this knowledge to achieve my objective of pursuing graduate studies in
Electrical Engineering. I strongly believe a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering will provide me the knowledge and hands-on experience to fulfil my dream.
My exposure to mobile phones, digital cameras and computers during high school had a deep impact in choosing the area of interest in under graduate Engineering program at
Rajalakshmi Engineering College (Anna University, India). The functionality and applications of these devices fascinated me to the core. I always wondered how a camera can show the digital image once the image is captured? The fact that memory card can hold so many information highly fascinated me. All this stirred up my curiosity and eagerness to learn the working mechanism, and the principle behind these electronic devices. Therefore, with a score of 88% in my higher secondary examinations my choice for under graduate program was Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE).
My under graduate engineering course and training has given me an educational experience that highlights analytical thinking, logical reasoning and mathematical approach. The courses like Digital Electronics, Linear integrated circuits and Computer architecture and
