STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
PROLOGUE
“Knowledge, experience and the quality education are the best accomplishment in the race of life” is the statement in which I strongly believe and I forever yearn to have that. What is innovative today is obsolete tomorrow. We need to constantly streamline and upgrade our tools and resources. I believe that only an in depth study and an extensive research in my field of interest will help me to achieve my goal. I live in a world of changing times where technology is constantly engineering better lives. Brought up in a liberalized, humane and a capriciously technically charged environment, I see myself being a consistent part of constant changes around me. Today, my thoughts and aims in life spring from and centre around the world of Electrical Engineering.
ACADEMICS
Right from my school days, I have always shown a high degree of competence and interest in subjects like Mathematics and Science. I scored 88 marks in Mathematics & 84 marks in Science in Secondary School (10th standard). It was with this motivation that I took up the Science stream in my senior school. I completed my senior school with first class grade. My fairly good performance at secondary and senior school gave me the confidence to take Engineering as my career.
I got admitted for Bachelor program in Electronics and Communication Engineering at reputed Parul Institute of Engineering & Technology, Vadodara, Gujarat, India and have cumulative GPA of 7.94. I have been deeply interested by subjects such as VLSI technology & design, Microcontroller and interfacing, Advanced Microprocessors, Wireless communication and Data Communication and networking.

...e of today and the reality of tomorrow, and my dream of accomplishing a graduate degree that will help me to be a proficient and competent professional for the future will undoubtedly enlighten my present and in turn and help me to brighten up many lives tomorrow.
On successful completion of my master’s program, I will be able to implement this knowledge in an Indian industry more confidently and effectively. By working in the field of Electronics I would like give my share in enhancing the life standards of my countrymen. I am certain that my contribution, small or great, will prove to be another step in development and success of my country and its people.
After completion of my masters, I intend to become a part of a reputed firm in India. I believe the experience that I will gain in the field will assist me significantly to become a better Professional.
I wish to place as one among them. Mahendar Reddy Kaukuntla S/o Mr. Sudhakar Reddy Kaukuntla. Apart from being a B-Tech graduate from Patnam Rajendar Reddy Memorial Engineering College affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, R. R Dist, Andhra Pradesh, India, which is graded as one of the best colleges offering Bachelor of Technology in various fields at undergraduate level for throughout Andhra Pradesh. I did my primary, middle and high school from “St. Domnic’s High School” situated at Hyderabad till 10th standard – “Secondary School Certificate” (S.S.C.) followed by which completed my 11th and 12th standards known as “Board of Intermediate Education” from “Gauthami Academy Jr. College” situated at Hyderabad.
Engineering and technology as people think is not the easy area of study, but it is always demanded the most in the future because that field is not everyone’s cup of tea, and you need to have a very good focus and time management planning skills for that. You always stand different in the crowd if you can work and make a career in that particular field.

Once I have entered college I have tasted first slice of formal education in industrial engineering domain.
It contains many possibilities, and unforgettable moments. Through engineering, one could easily obtain the satisfaction and joy. Thus,engineering has many lifetime opportunities. My top three lists would be self-esteem, social impact and the creative thinking. These three lists are unique and rare to find today. By becoming an engineer, these aspects can be achieved and I would take pride in so doing. First of all, self-esteem can be regarded as an important factor in every aspect of life (Landis 2013, pp. 57). It reflects the actions and feelings when dealing with people. The process is a self-evaluation, where a person can analyze his or her worthiness and capability through emotional means. The experience will be gained and the mature decisions can be made. As a part of my endeavor to pursue higher studies I humbly submit the Statement of Purpose. This statement of purpose gives me a unique opportunity to pen down my desire and ambition. In my view, an ‘ENGINEER’ is a person who has a perfect knowledge of the mathematical and applied sciences, gained by study, experience, and practice and who applies them for the efficient use of the materials. I believe that a reputed university like yours’ would quench the thirst of any young lad by fuelling him with all the elements required in shaping up a ‘successful engineer’
I know that the major I chose as an electrical engineer is not an easy one, but I also know that this is the best fit for me, and that I chose the right one. Not only do I get to contribute to the ever-changing society that we live in, but I also face new challenges every day, which is exciting because that means that in my career each day is different, and I love taking on a new challenge, which will enhance my knowledge and make me a better electrical engineer.
Being the top student in my secondary school (with 85.5%), I got admitted into Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering at MIT, Ujjain. My curriculum enhanced my knowledge in Microprocessors, Digital Signal Processing, and Analytical and Industrial Instrumentation. Having a strong zeal towards Information System and Computer Programming, I have also learned different languages like C, C++, SQL and PL/SQL.
People travel miles in search of their true passion; some find them early in their life and I consider myself lucky enough to be one among them. I found my true calling at the age of 12 on a field trip to a milk factory. It seemed like the Disneyland of science with huge machineries, conveyer belts running all around, and instruments working about in their own rhythm with sheer intricacies and perfection. As a kid, I was eager to understand the mechanics behind this magical rhythm. The desire of gaining in-depth knowledge about Control System and Automation eventually led me to choose Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering as my undergraduate study.

Throughout my undergraduate studies I was given a comprehensive exposure to the ever dynamic curriculum of Mechanical Engineering ranging from wide range of topics like Fluid Mechanics, Thermodynamics, Manufacturing, Machine design, Material science etc. These courses have helped me build a strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering and laid the necessary groundwork for pursuing graduate studies. I have maintained a clean and illustrious academic record of CGPA: 8.37 (on a scale of 10) which helped me to secure a degree in Mechanical Engineering with Distinction having placed in top 7% (10th in the competitive class of 140 students) of Mechanical Engineering Department of my college. I am also an AutoCAD Certified Associate which will surely add to my value.
I’ve always wanted to go into the engineering field in some way shape or form I’ve always been told to be an nurse or doctor when I get older, but growing up really showed me what I’m good at and what my talents are and so it seems that engineering might the thing that puts all my talents together. I love math and really enjoy working with others and creating relationships as well as solving different problems that come my way. I really love to solve different types of problems especially when I was a kid or even now, because I really like the feeling of getting stumped on something only to learn and find the answer to the problem a little while later, it gave me a feeling of accomplishment every time I would figure out the problem. This perfectly holds true for me in the world of Computer Engineering where novel ideas are not a novelty. It is this novelty that entices me to this field and gives me a deep sense of professional pride. In this context, I would like to pursue my graduation in Computer Engineering, which not only supplements the knowledge that I possess but also provides a strong platform for my future career goals.
From my perspective, excellent electronic engineers are a group of gifted and imaginative talents who bravely explore and innovate, change the world with passion and innovation. I have always dreamed of becoming one of them. For realizing this dream, I started from China 's Jilin University and then joined The University of Manchester for BEng (Hons) Electronic Engineering to take more advanced professional courses. In UoM, I managed to gain GPA of 4.0. Yet, my pursuit of the dream does not end there, since I plan to apply for M.S. program in Electrical and Computer Engineering in the Carnegie Mellon University, where I can receive the best education among the world.
