Now we are living in the world where almost everybody knows the word computer and more than 60% of people know how to use it. Computer technology is not confined to any one particular industry and its usage is in almost all the sectors. My avidity towards computer started back from school days when I got my first computer. I was always intrigued to know what made it so fast and amazing and never missed a chance to keep myself updated with the literature and latest software in this field by reading magazines and blogs on the internet. This affinity led me to take office Automation Course, apart from my school curriculum, during my 11th grade high school and excel in it with ‘A’ grade. Moreover, taking Information technology as an elective in senior high school (11th & 12th grade) further strengthen my inquisitiveness towards this enticing field.

As I look back, I was always fascinated and motivated by Science and technology, which along with hard work led me to achieve ‘Narayanan Award’ accorded by my school for securing highest in science during my 10th grade along with a certificate of appreciation by the head of ‘Gram Panchayat’ (local self-government in India at town-level) for achieving/(passing with) distinction. I have been actively participating in science exhibitions in inter-school level and with the school as well and achieved among the top 3 positions a couple of times.

Opting for Electronics Engineering as my field of studies during my undergraduate studies gave me an opportunity to learn various subjects like Electronics Devices and Circuits, Microprocessors & Microcontrollers, Computer Organization, Communication Networks and Programming Languages like JAVA and C++. Out of these, courses like JAVA, C++ and Asse...

I find working in a commercial organization confining as a learning experience due to commercial, utilitarian considerations and the tendency to brand employees as specialists raises the threat of obsolescence along with the field of specialization. These reasons and my intense interest in the fascinating advances in the dynamic field of computers motivate me to study computer science at Masters level in the USA, which is the leader in research in computer technology.

I prefer to pursue higher studies at the University of Buffalo, because its updated course work suits my need for being in step with the developments. I am also impressed by the cutting edge research in the areas of networks, databases and security being done by professors zzzz and yyyy in the ultramodern facilities like labs.
