Camping. Something I fond of. Since I was a kid, I solely love being with the nature as if I was born best friend for them. When I was in the primary school, I joined the Young Scouts Club, which was my favourite until I reached fifteen, but, the activity had to be forgotten since I move to the private school. A well-known, prestigious school which somewhat brings a weird feeling inside me. Honestly, I liked it more to study in my previous school, a public government school. I met some cool mates there, ordinary friends who came to school by foot, by bicycle, by bus with an innocent goal to study. Bring lunch packs from home and sharing with the other kids under the tree in the field during recess. Wearing uniform is a good idea, in which it does not tell which class you came from. Yea, it’s true. I was still a kid back then. Nothing matters much to me, but I always observe situations in many different kind of view. Knowing the other kids with different background, by chance, I saw how they are treated by their parents, family… some are good, and some are not really good looking. Some are blessed with love, some are blessed with material… lucky for those who’s privileged with both. I had to obey my dad’s request after completing my junior high school with a so-so result, while bright and shining Adrian, he presented a handsome grade. Mum and dad were overjoyed when they received the news from the science college stated that my twin got accepted and on a par with my performance, they chose that school for me. It is indeed a respected high-end school, the best in its class, yea, certainly if you own a parents whose own the class. Who doesn’t want to study there? I guess every spoiled brat are cheerful to study there.…I don’t refer t...

...a yes, but no is always a guarantee.” I surrendered to his words with a hopeless sound.
He carries his task in preparing our needs for the camping, while I am appointed to take care of the food supply. Miss Rina? We decided that she just need to get ready and nothing else. Like I do, she looked very excited to go camping as she opened the door when I rang her bell.
“Good day teacher,” I saluted with my right hand grasping hers in a handshake and it becomes a fluency for a hug and a kiss upon the cheek. Never in my life have I done this with anybody aside from my family.
“Are you driving without license?”
“For my birthday next year, I’ll get one, don’t worry. Both me and Andy will drive legally next year.” Miss Rina shook her head while looking at me and said, “please take me safely there. I trust you.”
“Greatly honoured. I won’t disappoint someone who trusts me.”
In using this allusion, Frost not only continues the "poetic tradition" but adds all the depth of meaning of Keats' poem to his own. The star doesn't want much of us -- only to stay above us. He says that "when the mob is swayed" or when social, political, or moral upheaval takes place and the norm is to be radical, the star likes being above it all, condescendingly regarding the earth. When this happens, we should "choose something like a star" and concentrate on it.
It is nearly impossible to understand everything the first time around, especially when it comes to stories that are as detailed as The Bright Forever. When reading stories the first time, I believe we don’t understand every element that the author is trying to portray to us. When reading The Bright Forever for the first time, we all anticipated how it was going to end. With each page, we all tried to put the pieces together and tried to figure out who, how and why it all happened the way it did. The first time around, we were all clueless, but after going back and reading the book again for a second, you are able to pick up on things a lot easier. By doing this, you can figure out the meaning of the authors imagery and clues throughout the book.
As Clarice Lispector was writing what would become her last literary creation, The Hour of the Star, little did she know that while her body was plagued with the devastations of cancer, her mental struggle for peace and grace in death would inspire her most renowned novel. Perhaps it is because of those circumstances, she created a novel with intuitive reflections on both life and death, as seen through the life of the main character, Macabea. The story is narrated by Rodrigo S.M., and although Rodrigo attempts to maintain a neutral stance, he is often conflicted by his own perceptions and feelings. At the book’s commencement Rodrigo spends quite some time explaining that while the story is mainly about a woman, having the book narrated by a female would weaken the richness of content. He explains that a woman is incapable of clearly emphasizing the harshness of reality; that she is too emotional and attempting to explain the life of a wretched girl would be hard because her emotions would not allow an unbiased depiction of the cruelties of life. Macabea is introduced in the novel as a poor girl who does what she must to survive in the slums of Rio de Janeiro. She is, Rodrigo remarks, nothing out of the ordinary. Physically there is nothing about Macabea which sets her apart from the other countless street rascals who live hand to mouth. He then provides readers with some of her early life history, including how she almost died at birth because of rickets, and how both her parents succumbed to typhoid fever when she was a toddler. Finally after their death Macabea was forced to move in with her aunt, who too eventually passed away, but not before procuring the child a job to support herself. In the course of the novel the popular culture, though vague and metaphorical at times, affects Macabea and the secondary characters personalities and actions.
Driving out of the parking lot the car was silent, until Lacey started doing a bad imitation of the manager, “After this come in here with your shoulders covered. Its our policy.” laughing and returning to her normal voice “Even at 17 you still get us into trouble, will you ever change?”
The organizations provides fun and creative activities while also teaching people conflict resolution, leadership, teamwork, bonding, and confidence skills. Adolescence is a transitional period in life and is marked by changes and uncertainty. Even if an adolescent isn’t going through a crisis or a hard time, it would still be fun to take outdoor educations courses compared to standard high school or college courses.
“I know my plan has gone perfect my mom bought me a car now I can drive instead of taking the train,”Ellie
‘‘Camp is one of the few institutions where young people experience and satisfy their need for physical activity, creative expression and true participation in a community environment’’ Says Dr. Scales. The traditional calendar is the best method of schooling because if students had year-round school they would have to pay more, there would be more people at vacation spots and, sadly students would have no summer camps.
In Bright Star, Keats utilises a mixture of the Shakespearean and Petrarchan sonnet forms to vividly portray his thoughts on the conflict between his longing to be immortal like the steadfast star, and his longing to be together with his love. The contrast between the loneliness of forever and the intenseness of the temporary are presented in the rich natural imagery and sensuous descriptions of his true wishes with Fanny Brawne.
I lived with my Aunts during the week and my grandmother on the weekends. My grandmother lived in the inner city and my aunts wanted me to have a chance at a better education. So, they moved me to a new school district. It was a new environment, I was excited! New school, teachers, and friends. Opportunity was everywhere. The change was great, but it highlighted something I never noticed, I was different. My life was not like my friends, most were raised by parents, both or at least one. I on the other hand was the product of a village. That village is what gave me the strength to go into school each day, head high, eager to learn, and determined to
Stars are born within clouds of dust and swirling wind in our atmosphere. The turbulence within these clouds creates enough gravitational force between the gas and dust that it begins to collapse upon itself and becomes more dense and hot further into the cloud. The cloud continues to collapse, collecting dust and gas around the hot center which is called a protostar. (http://science.nationalgeographic.com) Protostars are not hot enough to emit visible light in their early stages, but emit infrareds. In their later stages, protostars emit more visible light, but images taken with visible light telescopes have a difficult time seeing past the large masses of dust around stars, if the stars aren’t very bright.(http://coolcosmos.ipac.caltech.edu)
Life is lost without love, but what is love without desire? Could it be that love is an arguable thought, something that is not as strong as what we perceive it to be? Could love be merely an instrument used by society to justify their foolishness? Is it true that this idea we call love, is nothing but a fabrication of the mind fueled by the intense desire to posses?
My education began in fifth grade, my parents moved from one location to another. It wasn’t easy for me, because school was the first place I ever got to interact with other kids. Before school started, I was pretty much kept indoors and not allowed to have contact with other people, except for my family members.
learning. For example, in secondary school, students are required to finish the “Other Learning Experiences” programs. It aims to expand students’ learning contexts instead of simply learning in the classroom. While some school hold more outdoor activities as they agree that outdoor activities is beneficial for students, others reject it and continue to use the traditional classroom teaching. This essay examines both sides of for and against arguments of having more outdoor learning activities.
At the beginning of one’s journey of gaining more knowledge, most children don’t mind school, for it is a change of environment for them. The majority of elementary school adolescents even enjoy school to some degree. As time wears on, we usually, and sadly, begin to see a change of heart. Children become fatigued from school and therefore don’t take pleasure in going anymore. Maybe their teachers didn’t teach them in the way that they learn most efficiently, or maybe students just become bored with the whole “school scene” itself. Whatever the case, it is apparent that by the time they reach high school, their interest for learning alone has died out.
Having spent twelve years of my school life in just one small red brick building, the years tend to fade into each other. But the year I remember most clearly and significantly is my senior year of high school, where I finally began to appreciate what this institution offered to any student who stopped to look. Before, school had been a chore, many times I simply did not feel motivated toward a subject enough to do the homework well, and seeing the same familiar faces around ever since I was 5 years old grew very tiring soon enough. But I began to see things from a different angle once I became a senior.
