The article, "The Significance of Congruent Communication in Effective Classroom Management", by Dave Brown examines the role communication plays in regards to the social and emotional growth of young adolescents. Brown discussed how environmental changes create stress and anxiety among adolescent students, a direct result of their inability to regulate emotions. It was clear that the author was not trying to diminish the angst of adolescent years, but simply convey to teachers that hope is not lost. Though the activities and assessments seem simple at first glance, it must be argued that the article does address proven methods for effective classroom management. Finally, the language of the article is easy to understand and allows for easy interpretation and comprehension.
