When people think of sociology, they usually think about the study of social problems and the function of the human society; but what if I told you that sociology doesn't just only study the human society or social problems, but as well as theories and how we perceive ourselves. To better understand sociology we have to know the definition and where it came from.
Sociology is known as the study of human society and the individuals perspective in society. The birth of sociology age back to the 18th century, by a French philosopher named Auguste Comte; he was known as the "Father of the Sociology." The knowledge that sociology provides us with, helps us use those skills in the social world, such as being better at networking which is very useful and important in the field of communication.
There are two main sociological theories that are very important in today's society; Functionalism perspective & Conflict Perspective.
1.2. Functionalism
The functionalist perspective is based on the way we view our social system as interconnected parts that work together as a whole to maintain equilibrium. Functionalism emphases on the micro level of society and how it contributes stability to different counterparts as a whole. Society isn't just built up from different tools but as a sum that is needed to build a social norm; rather than just picking out parts from a box, society still needs to build out equilibrium to form a society that is stabilized enough for human …show more content…

Families of these children are forced to pay taxes every year by the government, in return they get nothing back other than the eduction that the state pays for the children of these families. The children have now become the government's law, they are forced by the state to continue paying taxes once they have grown into well-behaved civilians, that can provide for their own families, so on the never-ending cycle
