For example, a manual for treating cocaine addiction (Carroll, 1998) is available through the National Institute on Drug Abuse (http://www.drugabuse.gov/TXManuals/CBT/CBT1.html), and an alcohol treatment manual (Monti et al., 2002) is commercially available. Access to a manual alone is unlikely to confer a high level of clinician competence and fidelity in delivering the treatment. Web-based and in-person training are available from a variety of sources, and it is important to provide onsite clinical supervision” (as cited in Wells, Kristman-Valente, Peavy, Jackson).
The implementation of CBT depends on what the client is receiving the CBT for as well as age.
