1. Introduction In recent years we can see that social networking sites are gaining popularity as particularly in business environment. For the growth of social networking sites; sky is the limit. The very first social networking website came in the market just a decade ago, since then the way we communicate with other people has also changed. Social Networking sites like Facebook, Linkedin, Twitter and many more are so well-established in this contemporary digital globe that they are blended in our daily routine very easily. All these SNSs provide all there users with a platform for corresponding, sharing information and to collaborate with others around the world on daily basis. All these sites are so well established that there annual revenue is in millions and billions of dollars for e.g. In 2006 Google spend $1.65 billion for buying Youtube. (“Google buys YouTube for $1.65bn”, 2006) and another the most recent example is “LinkedIn earned $15.4 million in 2010 on net revenue of $243 million” (Bestgrowthstock, 2011, para. 15). The main reason behind the success of SNSs is because of the number of people that are utilising it; and that is what all companies are looking for. In 2009 Facebook was growing at a rate of 6000 user per day. “At that rate if Facebook were a country than it would be the 6th most populous in the world” (Smith, 2009). The extreme utilization of SNSs by people has let companies to use SNSs for different reasons. Due to the popularity of these SNSs; organizations are prepared to spend a huge sum of capital for marketing on these SNSs and to have an access users’ information which is available on the site. The research proposed below is to find out how these SNSs can use by companies for recruiting new staff....

While the latest advances in technology can provide an organization with efficiency in disseminating information, it also creates new challenges in these unchartered waters for today’s organizations. The option to work from home or telecommuting, can be an ideal situation for both the organization and the right employee interested in flextime. With the features that are widely available on today’s smartphones and the ever-increasing availability of wireless networks, employees are no longer tethered to the confines of their home or their cumbersome computers. These individuals now have the liberty of accessing information from just about anywhere in order to get work done. As in the case of SCAN Health Plan, an advantage to providing this work arrangement for the employer, is that it can provide a company a way to grow without having to incur any additional fixed costs such as office buildings, equipment or parking lot space (Fundamentals of Management pg. 152). Technology has allowed businesses to offer remote work arrangements, the daunting task is finding employees who are of the highest moral character, who have great organizational and time management skills, who are also self-motivated and self-disciplined, in addition to being responsible and trustworthy. From a managerial standpoint, helping the employee to feel connected is vital. It will be necessary for management to put forth the extra effort to develop and maintain a working relationship through constant communications. (Investor’s Business Daily 2013)

Social networks are increasing dramatically every year. Employers are turning to social networks because it is a tool to screen job applicant’s profiles. According to a survey conducted by jobvite.com (2013), 94 % of employers use social media profiles to recruit job applicants. This trend assists the applicants and recruiters. Job applicants should be judged by their social network profiles because social media give positive image about the candidate, prove the information in the resume, and help to identify if the person fits the culture of the company or not.
