Social networking is a topic that can be argued for, or against, depending on a person’s beliefs and approach. While some individuals may conclude that it has no worthy uses, or that it is harmful to society, it is important to keep an open mind and look past the surface of the issue. Social networking, when utilized properly, has many positive impacts that are beneficial to society. First of all, social networking can be used for entertainment. Instead of sitting around the house, doing nothing, an individual can access sites such as; Twitter, Facebook, Vine, etc. There are many videos and other amusing content that is posted at any given second of the day. One can also see what friends are doing based on their updates/posts. With the ample amount of things on social networks that can be done, no one should ever be bored. Furthermore, social networking can be used as a means of motivation. The mogul, DJ Khaled, uses a popular app called “Snapchat,” to motivate and inspire people all over the world.
