Social networking is known all across the world and the users are increasing. In our society, people feel like social networking is the best way to communicate and meet new friends or keep in touch with old ones. To some people, it’s just a way to see what other people are doing and to catch up with long distant friends and family members. If there was more supporters and people actually caring about children this would not be going on. As a result, children go weeks and even months of being bullied and tormented at school and social networking. For example, most students procrastinate on their work because they’re on social networks. He would say “Ok I’m only going to be on here for a minute” then that minute turns into a hour next thing you know he forgets all about the assignment. ProCon reports that “Two-thirds of teachers believe that social media does more to distract students than to help them academically.” Students aren’t the only ones using social networks and getting distracted though. ProCon also reports that “74% of American adults online use social networking sites such as Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.” By that being said, adults are getting distracted as well.
