Twitter is a service for people to communicate and stay connected through the exchange of quick, frequent messages. It's an online social networking and micro blogging service that enables users to send and read short 140 character text messages, called "tweets". Twitter is a social website where people are allowed to make posts about different things. Twitter has 645,750,000 registered users as of January 1, 2014. Twitter is now stepping up to global television. Micro blogging is the posting of very short entries or updates on a blog or social networking site, typically via a cellular phone. Twitter allows its users to keep their friends and family informed of their current status. Twitter first began in 2008 as a small project; but now it's one of the most popular social websites.
Twitter is used for different reasons such as from breaking world news to streamlining business. You can also follow your favorite celebrities on twitter. Twitter can be used to distract students but at the same time Twitter can be used to help them learn better. Twitter helps you create and shares ideas and information instantly, without barriers. Using “Tweets”, you can start up conversation with people you know or people you’d like to contact. Twitter is the fastest way of sharing information, staying in touch with people close to you as life happens, and remains number 1 for current events. Twitter lets its user’s Tweet openly and share their opinion and ideas. Twitter began as a small project in 2006 and has established into one of the most popular sites on the internet. Individuals around the globe use Twitter for numerous reasons from streaming live new information, local trends, and the hottest topics.
