Living in a world with technologies, the Internet, social media, we have easy access to the tabloids and the latest trends. With social media, we have more access with celebrity gossips and trends worldwide than we have ever had whether it’s about who wore what, relationships, sex, drugs, alcohol, the feud between celebrities or/and even fashion. Yes, including fashion. A-List Celebrities such as Kim Kardashian, Miranda Kerr, Kanye West, Cara DeLevigne, Kylie Jenner, Taylor Swift and such are not only well-known for their career or life but their style. They are known as being the trendsetters. You would think that their lifestyle is not ideal but followers would disagree as they idolize them. Who doesn’t love Fashion? I mean look at all the amazing clothes and accessories there is out there. Those designer bags, those cute pencil skirts, those nice sparkly high heels we wish we could wear but can’t really walk in high heels because it would trip and would leave us with appalling blisters. Fashion is everywhere. There are range of different amount of styles everywhere you go. Fashion is something where anyone can express themselves with. It allows them to be original, imaginative and self-confident. Anyone can be inspired by Fashion.
Besides all the fancy clothes, bags and accessories that we all love so dearly, there are also a lot of negative effects in the fashion industry that has a big impact on society. One main issue that I would like to accentuate is how the fashion industry portrays women through a distorted perception.
