Using social media not only may lead to violent behavior but also has caused both emotional and social changes. Social media, especially Facebook, has resulted in students becoming heavily addicted to social media, and while many individuals would argue that drugs and/or alcohol are more addictive than social media or that social media addiction is not a huge problem, the fact is that social media is addictive and potentially problematic (Ann, 2011). Students that utilize social media on a regular basis may lose their ability to engage in meaningful face-to-face communication (Albury & Crawford, 2012). Even if the world is currently turning to technology, students must be able to converse in the real-life setting. Most social media websites have become highly famous for cyberbullying, and this has become an unfortunate trend in society. Students may write hurtful messages about their fellow students, which may scare the bullied students for extended periods (Albury & Crawford, 2012). Another issue with social media is that it has become impossible to know whether the students will utilize this medium in a constructive way. Students are permanently distracted and therefore have shorter attention spans (Boyd, 2014). Chou et al. At first glance this may seem like a waste of time; however it also helps students to develop important knowledge and social skills, and be active citizens who create and share content. Some people think that Social media has a negative impact on society. For me It’s a way to connect with people and also know about their surroundings. It helps me connect with my friends back in my country Pakistan, and also helps me to share some thoughts about my life. We motivate each other through Whatsapp. I see what they are doing and they see what I am doing. Sometimes they share posts about people personality like how the people think today, and what they want to do in their regular life. Most of the Teenager do Snapchat to just tell others what they are doing now. Some people share funny videos and when I watch them I feel joy. Social media is a very powerful source to connect with people and get to know each other. It helps me know about my surroundings and also helps to know myself with a new perspective.

Exposing students to the power of social media in the classroom is an important part of preparing them to be active and positive digital citizens in a 21st century world. In the last two years, my own students have rapidly been drawn to Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr, and many other social networking platforms. They upload, share, and connect with others often without any regard to how their digital footprints may reflect them as individuals. Having continuous conversations with students about the choices that they make can lead to positive results. Students don't realize how powerful social media platforms can be in terms of networking, researching, and engaging in academic conversations. It makes me laugh every time I hear them whisper about my colleague Heather's or my Twitter feed. First of all kids, I can hear you. Second of all, yes, social media can be an amazing way to give and exchanged knowledge.
Social media can be used for so much more than self-promotions and attention seeking. Indeed, social media can be used as a learning toll in this digital age.
