With the phone industry being such a competitive market it is essential for company to keep advancing if they want to stay in business. The business model of the phone industry is actually an oligopoly where few firm rules all the industry we see this with android and apple. This is why they can set their phone at any price they want especially since they are gaining brand loyalty. Because we are willing to buy and upgrade a phone so often the phone industry is profitable industry.
