Similarly, our environments play an eminent role in our beauty sleep. Our surroundings settings have been scientifically known to affect how we sleep. According to an article by Villanova University, “Sleep Deprivation,” it was asserted that “making our sleep environments as comfortable as we can by making adjustment to sound, light, and temperature if necessary, can help us sleep better.” Playing our favorite music softly in bed helps us relax, unwind, and get rid of the tiredness of the day. Rock and loud music makes us restless but soft music helps to put the mind at rest thereby, boost our chances of longer night rest. Making sure that our beds are comfortable and there is no light shining directly on our faces while we sleep heightens our chances of sleeping faster; scientifically, a darkened room tells our brains to “switch off.” Thermal insulated curtains or blackout blinds provide complete privacy and block out all light; they are even known to block out noise so using them will enhance the possibility of longer hours of sleep. …show more content…
