Dating as a single mother is fraught with lots of potential hazard and stigma. Before online dating has become a craze, single moms who are hoping to find another chance at "happy ever after" usually do not get too much luck.
The stigma that comes along with being a single mother drives real men away and makes it ultra impossible for single moms to get another shot at happiness. Only until the dawn of online dating did these single moms stumble upon real and ever-lasting love.
Online dating has not only become a fad. It has become a tool for real men to get to know their dates without having to go through all the trouble, yet guaranteeing that they would soon sit at the dinner table with the woman their hearts actually long for. And single women out there do not need to worry about the potential hazards being a single mother could bring.
This article is going to bring a rundown of the things men used to think about single moms. And these things have definitely become nothing but myths spurred by ignorant daters.
1. Single mothers are NARCISSISTS.
Most men think that single mothers are the most narcissists in the dating scene. They usually create an "all about me" attitude and this translates to numerous other drama that men would naturally avoid at all cost.
Men are threatened by the possibility of being asked to drop everything in his life in order to be part of hers and her kids. The online dating community has allowed real men and single mothers to get to know each other better. They get to tell each other about any deal-breaker without having to be so awkward about it.

6. Single mothers turn into a nut job after a while.
Men are apt to think that single mothers put on the sweetest acts during dates to eventually turn heaven into hell. This Jekyll and Hyde personality usually surfaces around the six months mark. The thing about this sudden change is not exclusive to dating single mothers.
Turning into someone else other than how you first met a person maybe a consequence of a lot of things. It is not exactly because a single mother has every reason to project her pent-up rage from those previous failed relationships onto him that she turns into a not-so-sweet woman.
Most single mothers would take care of the second chances and would not waste it by carelessly turning into some nut job in the relationship.
