Buddhism and Christianity have many different and similar ways in which they believe in their God. Buddhism talks about how Siddhartha Gautama Buddha discovered Buddhism by seeing human suffering and by meditating under a fig tree and the lotus flower. Christianity talks about the life and teaching of Jesus according to the New Testament to the religion’s development into three major denominations. Buddhism and Christianity have many beliefs that are similar and different from their way of life.
Prince Siddhartha Gautama was born 2.5 thousand years ago in what is now Nepal. There he discovered human illness, death, and suffering. He also achieved enlightenment while meditating under a fig tree and the lotus flower and that became the symbol of Buddhism. Buddha also traveled with his disciples around India for forty-five years, spreading the message of God.
