How People’s Opinions of Teacher’s Carrying Guns During School Can Be
Grouped By Age, Gender, and Race
Do you believe that people have a unique personal opinion that nobody else has? Well, research has shown that personal opinion can be grouped by age, gender and race, but some of this research does not show through in the highly debated topic, should teachers carry guns during school hours.
Age Groups
One of the ways people’s opinions can be grouped together is by age. According to “Factors that affect decision making: gender and age differences”, the younger you are, the more rash your decisions will be. The younger people will tend to just base their decisions on their feelings then and there, not look at the facts and see which decision is the best. (María Cardelle-Elawar). This would make sense, being that kids do not have a lot of experience to base their opinions off of. Most kids haven’t learned to think things through yet, because there not old enough to understand that there are repercussions to your actions. This lesson though, comes with experience. An eighteen year old is not going to understand how significant their opinion on the president, because it has never been significant before. ...d of harder to get. Although African Americans do follow the pattern stated by previous research, all the races agreed that teachers should not carry guns, thus not allowing people to group other people’s opinions by race.
So while you can group people’s opinions by age on the topic should teachers have guns during school hour, you cannot group people’s opinions by gender and race. Does this mean that the previous research is wrong? Maybe. All that is shown is that the previous research does not apply to this topic. The human behavior cannot follow a set pattern, because each of us are just too different and unique. Every time some does try to classify the human, behavior, a case will come along that will disprove of that theory. So the next time opinions are given, think about the why the person may saying that, but remember, that everyone has their own opinions.
