Casinos are a place for enjoyment, drinking, and spending money. Over the years, the controversial debate over the focus of clean air has raised an issue on whether or not cigarette smoking should be banned in casinos, has been a huge issue in America today. In our society today, smoking is one of the most leading causes of death. Smoking has become a daily necessity for Americans today, which makes it difficult for people to control their bad habits. Smoking should be banned from casinos because it causes harm to not only the smoker, but to those around the person who is smoking due to something we call second-hand or passive smoking. Americans smokers subject their decision to the unhealthy risk of smoking, but others that are employed at casinos, and also gambling in casinos doesn’t have the choice of passively smoking. Non-smokers should not be exposed to second-hand smoking because of the irrational decision of those who choose to smoke in casinos. Many of those states are California; New York, New Jersey, Rhode Island and many more others. Even though many smokers believe that they have their rights to smoke in casinos, I still believe that it is unfair to the employees and the non-smokers to go in this facility, where smoking is being allowed, and have to inhale smoke. From experiences that I have witnessed, some smokers don’t care about non-smokers. There have been plenty of incidents where I have been to the casino and was actually in the non-smokers’ area of the casino and in that area there was guest in the non smoking area smoking. If smokers do not have the respect for non-smokers, then I believe that smoking should be banned in
