In today 's society, it seems impossible to imagine that smoking in public parks considerably common, and it must be an exceedingly risky habit that many people have, but it is true. Due to some people somehow ignoring the fact that smoking in public parks is without the shadow of a doubt dangerous, they will face many difficulties. “The American public has changed its attitude toward smoking. Eleven states have banned smoking in indoor public places such as bars and restaurants, and surveys show that 39 percent of Americans now live in areas

Many people believe that someone who is not in the smoking area of the public parks will not be affected by the smoke, but smoke is able to spread and affect the people around. Not to allow smoking in public parks is discouraging many young people from taking up the habit, as well as influencing others to give it up. Not to allow smoking in public parks "is not only making it more inconvenient to be a smoker, but they turn the smoking message on its head," Stephen Kaufman said. "We used to get the message from everybody from James Bond to the ads that smoking made you sexy and sociable and sophisticated. The American Cancer Society calls smoking the single most preventable cause of death in the United States today. Tobacco use dramatically increases an individual’s risk of heart disease, stroke, lung diseases, such as emphysema, and lung cancer. For instance, when the smokers smoke in public parks, the nonsmokers can suffer of smoking and this will bring the cancer to their lungs or bodies both of them, so they will slowly take away to die. These risks are greater for smokers. For women who smoke during pregnancy are more likely than other women to experience complications during pregnancy, including miscarriage and premature birth. Their babies tend to be smaller than normal and are more likely to die during infancy. These babies may also have problems with physical and mental development. Therefore, nonsmokers can affect negative health effects from smokers while they smoke in public parks. In conclusion, it seems obvious that smoking should not be allowed in public parks.
