The American school systems are designed to educate their students in an age appropriate manner in each and every subject. Students learn about health and well being and driver’s education, so why should they not be taught sexual education as well. It is no question that there are some students who have sex. Since children are being taught everything by the school systems, sexual education should be included in that as well. Kids should be taught about sex education with the knowledge of contraceptives.
There are two types of sexual education that are taught in school systems. The most common type of sexual education is the Abstinence only. ...le think that. Students should not be taught that, because telling them to wait through abstinence programs do not work. while parents should be the ones that should initially bring up sex, schools are now more and more likely to teach their students about sex. it is important for the schools to bring accurate information to their students.
Sex education is necessary to teach students, we must teach children that sex is natural and that they should not be scared into not having it; but they need to be aware of the consequences that can come with sexual activity. Schools should not make the decision for the student on whether or not they should have sex or not. It is the student’s choice. The schools responsibility is to teach their students on the risks, outcomes, and contraceptives that come along with having sex. They should not shun the students from having sex.
