Did you know that one in three women know their attackers? Sometimes the attack is completely random like what happened to a 36 year old mother of four. She was attacked completely at random. Sex crimes against women can leave them feeling lost and vulnerable. A few citizens claim that by the clothes they were or were not wearing means they were asking to be raped.Women deserve to be able to wear whatever they want and act how they want and not have to worry about some guy taking that as their chance to strike. There are furthermore women who have intimate partner violence which refers to the behavior by an intimate partner or ex-partner that causes physical, sexual or psychological hard, including physical aggression, sexual coercion, and psychological abuse and controlling behaviors (Violence against Women). Sex crimes include things such as rape, sexual abuse, sexual harassment. Sexual assault and abuse is any type of sexual activity that you do not agree to include: Inappropriate touching, vaginal, anal or oral penetration, sexual intercourse that you say no to, rape, attempted rape. Sexual assault can be verbal, visual, or anything that forces a person to join in unwanted sexual contact or attention. Rape is a common form of Sexual assault. It is committed in many situations- on a date, by a friend, or an acquaintance, or when you think you are alone (Violence against women – Sexual assault and abuse). 29 percent of people in the age range of 12-17 are likely to be sexually assaulted. At the ages of 16-19 are precisely four times more likely than the general population to be rape victims, attempted rape, or sexual assault. Women who were raped or sexually assaulted in 2010, 25 percent of them were assaulted by complete strang...

Some people claim that the clothes women wear makes them a target to getting raped in comparison to walking late at night in a dangerous neighborhood alone (Hess). When it comes to sexual assault every neighborhood is a bad neighbor hood for a woman. When you say that woman who wear to short of skirts, or too high of heels or too much make up are not sufficiently protecting themselves against rape, what you really are saying is that women who act too much like women deserve to be raped (Hess).
Many women know their attackers . some women don’t. Everyday women get attacked and it changes their lives forever.
