If one believes that destiny can bring to people together and are a hopeless romantic, then the film Serendipity is a must see. The movie was release on October 5, 2001, directed by, Peter Onelsom, and written by Marc Klein. In it stared such talent as, John Cusack (Jonathan), Kate Beckinsale (Sara) and Jeremy Piven (Dean). (imdb) Serendipity is around two strangers whom had a brief chance encounter. Destiny seems to step in and keeps Sara and Jonathan, apart until they can see the signs. Hence, the meaning of Serendipity, which is when someone finds something that, was not expecting to find, an unfortunate accident. What a wonderful romantic comedy of two individuals that captivates the viewer, as they fall in love, signs leading them to their ultimate destiny, with a passionate fairytale ending.

The viewer is first captivated by these two individuals, during a chance encounter at Bloomingdale’s department store over Christmastime; from there it was love, at first sight. In addition, you have this handsome sexy leading man in John Cusack who plays Jonathan, in this film, he achieves what he does the unsurpassed as being a hopeless romantic. As for the leading lady Sara, you have a newcomer to the American screen; Kate Bekinsale was perfect for the part. Regarding, her performance she was suburb as a firm believer in fate, and how density decides what happens to us in our lives. With this she, felt that either the universe can bring things together or they could keep you apart. Therefore, she believes that the cosmos will give them signs, when it is the right time. In any event, the writer, Marc Klein, gives the viewer the feeling as if, they are right there with Jon and Sara, as they walk through Central Park towa...

What a wonderful romantic comedy of two individuals that captivates the viewer, as they fall in love, signs leading them to their ultimate destiny, with a passionate fairytale ending. I would recommend this movie to anyone that is a hopeless romantic in body and spirit. This romantic comedy hits all three criteria for this genre; you have the main couple that falls in love by chance with magical events surrounding them, to this romantic fairytale of an ending.
