If Jennifer Alvarado was running as a Texas Senator, she would do everything in her capability to defeat her opponents and successfully win the election. In the process of a successful campaign, Jennifer would strive to have an appropriate number of campaign staff; meaning many volunteers as well as a strong consultant and campaign manager to use a wise strategy to win the election. She would raise funds months beforehand to be prepared for the election. Jennifer would contact organizations or groups which have the same beliefs as she does, and she would advertise herself in most of, if not all the public media. A Campaign is efficient when the available staff is dedicated and appropriate. Fourteen staff members are barely enough if Jennifer would like to win. Twenty, to thirty, maybe even fifty is more like it to run a successful and efficient campaign, this is when volunteers are needed. Important positions involved are the Campaign Manager and a Consultant, they help to develop a strategic approach to winning the election. This is one of the most important aspects in campaigning, as with a strategy in hand; the campaign has a direction of where to go; how to collect funds, the expenses or budget to build, and what audience and groups to target. Raising funds is no easy task. Money is distributed by wealthy donors who would share the same beliefs as Jennifer. It could be a donated from interest groups or organizations that would like Jennifer to win as Texas Senator, or it could always come from Jennifer’s own pocket for her own campaign. Our government is our government that’s it. Our government should not be allowed to make our own personal decisions- especially when it is a decision concerning one’s own body. The Government should only be allowed to control the economy or any other non-personal issue with citizens. Any women should have the right to do as she pleases with the embryo or fetus she carries inside, as stated and protected by the constitution. As I mentioned earlier, I am indecisive to being Republican or Democrat, because there are some things that I support and some things I do not support on both sides. I do not believe there should be limitations on abortions. In my personally beliefs the government should not tell a woman what she can and can not do with their bodies. Abortion for many years now has been a very controversial topic politically and culturally. Democrats are considered to be pro-choice for women rights to abortion, while the Republicans are against abortion due to their conservative culture. Women's right to have abortions have been violated by both state and federal government laws. Laws regulating women's right to an abortion is unconstitutional because the laws prohibits women from making their own decision whether or not to have an abortion performed. Women should have the right to an abortion with out any regulations by the state and federal governments because they may not be able to financial support the child or it may been an unwanted pregnancy.
The issue of campaign financing has been discussed for a long time. Running for office especially a higher office is not a cheap event. Candidates must spend much for hiring staff, renting office space, buying ads etc. Where does the money come from? It cannot officially come from corporations or national banks because that has been forbidden since 1907 by Congress. So if the candidate is not extremely rich himself the funding must come from donations from individuals, party committees, and PACs. PACs are political action committees, which raise funds from different sources and can be set up by corporations, labor unions or other organizations. In 1974, the Federal Election Campaign Act (FECA) requires full disclosure of any federal campaign contributions and expenditures and limits contributions to all federal candidates and political committees influencing federal elections. In 1976 the case Buckley v. Valeo upheld the contribution limits as a measure against bribery. But the Court did not rule against limits on independent expenditures, support which is not coordinated with the candidate. In the newest development, the McCutcheon v. Federal Election Commission ruling from April 2014 the supreme court struck down the aggregate limits on the amount an individual may contribute during a two-year period to all federal candidates, parties and political action committees combined. Striking down the restrictions on campaign funding creates a shift in influence and power in politics and therefore endangers democracy. Unlimited campaign funding increases the influence of few rich people on election and politics. On the other side it diminishes the influence of the majority, ordinary (poor) people, the people.

By granting women the right to choose, this does not permit her to kill, but to decide what is best for all persons involved. There are many situations that show that abortion may be the best for the parents and the unborn child. Situations such as rape or incest prove that it is not the woman’s fault and not fair to the mother or the unborn child to pay for it. There are other situations such as if the mother carries a disease the can be passed on, or if the parents are unfit to raise a family at the time. Any case however, should be between the people involved and not the government.
