The secret’s reputation is almost solely based on the people who have come together and combined their individual insights into a nearly a universal outlook on life. John Assaraf, James Arthur Ray, Bob Doyle, Morris Goodman, and John Hagelin are a few of the contributing speakers in the secret and their reputations in each field of study are truly the backbone of the secrets reliability. But really, who are these people?
John Assaraf was headed down the wrong rode at twice the speed limit when he was a teen. Living a turbulent lifestyle and having absolutely no goals in life wasn’t getting him anywhere, until he discovered his love for the brain and quantum physics (johnassaraf.com). Throughout the last 20 years john has studied how quantum physics and the brain relate to a person’s success in the business world. Through the connections made between these fields he has developed business strategies which he has utilized in the creation of four multimillion dollar companies. John says, “We’re all connected. We just don’t see it. There isn’t an “out there” and an “in here.” Everything in the universe is connected. It is just one energy field.”(thesecret.com) This statement shows how he connects the law of attraction to business strategies. He already understands that everything is connected so, he simply applies the law of attraction to bring good things to him. Today he is helping entrepreneurs develop their businesses, and as these entrepreneurs develop so does Johns knowledge of the law of attraction.
Bob Doyle was living a life that many people want. He had a wife, three kids, and a nice house. His job paid well and wasn’t too stressful but, it just wasn’t enough. He didn’t feel happy so he decided; money isn’t worth having if...

Nearly everyone has the desire to be successful in their lives, whether it be measured in the amount of wealth a man owns or the accomplishments he has made in his life. Therein lies the most common, the success in a man's profession. There are multiple approaches to this connotation of success where a wide range of techniques can be applied. One might think that the only way to reach a particular level of success is to take on a competitive nature and achieve that coveted position of number 1. However, being competitive does not necessarily insure that a person is ‘successful.’ They must be competent in their field to reach the top spot. An example of these two sides can be found within Arthur Miller’s Death of A Salesman using the characters Willy and Bernard.
In conclusion, “Why, You Reckon,” by Langston Hughes, the author does an excellent job of expressing to his readers that money isn’t everything. The setting and characters used in this short story help the reader see too that people aren’t always as happy as they
Reality Transurfing is a potent scientific model that allows you to do the most improbable things - precisely, to control your fate the way you choose. It is impossible only from the stereotypical point of view. One of the more interesting parts of transurfing is The Law of Attraction. A lot of information about the Law of Attraction can be found in V. Zeland’s book, on the websites, devoted to the topic, and in the film “Secret”. What we concentrate our thinking upon is attracted into our lives. The Law of Attraction is a wonderful secret of life. Relevant energies are pulled together by this appealing alluring power of the world. It is manifested by means of the creative powers. Even the law of gravity is a part of the Law of Attraction. Thoughts, situations, and events are attracted according to this Law. According to the book “Transurfing reality”,
With a household comes the responsibilities of maintaining a happy and stable family. The duty of having a secure family involves financial security, which ensures a household has enough to eat, stays properly nursed, and clothed. The level of happiness relies on the dynamics of the family itself, such as how supportive and attentive a family is to one another, but often times happiness is blindsided by money. Financial security and happiness can be confused and overshadowed by the aspiration of money and consumerism. Families provide their household’s financial needs, but neglect the emotional aspects. The overpowering need for money takes a toll on families. D.H Lawrence’s short story explores the dynamics of money and its psychological toll. The story’s unhappy family in D.H Lawrence’s short story, “The Rocking-Horse Winner”, demonstrates the adverse psychological effects that derive from the insatiable desire of money and mindless consumerism.
There are various definitions of success. It can be defined as the as one’s accomplishment of a desired aim or goals. Subsequently, success can also be defined as the attainment of wealth, position or honors. Therefore, success varies from one person to another; it can be a personal aspect as having a pregnancy, academic success, business or political success. However, for one to attain success, whether in an academic, business, political or a private setting, one must put in place strategies that will aid him or her and act as a bridge towards the accomplishment of success. A good strategy must give an overall direction of the intended goals, it is within the sources and opportunities of the desired goal and it advances
The definition of success varies around the world, but according to Malcolm Gladwell its achievement can be broken down into a few components. Although Gladwell never truly establishes credibility in his book Outliers, he still backs up his proposed theories with reputable studies and sources which intrigue the audience to keep reading. The purpose of Outliers was to enlighten people about the different elements of success while also informing them of real life situations where seemingly less than likely people beat the odds and became the powerful figures that they are today. The intended audience is anyone who is looking to become successful or who is perhaps interested in the idea of success itself and wishes to learn more about it. Understandably, a secondary audience could be high school students who are about to venture out into the world on their own because with this book they will hopefully start paying attention to different factors of their lives and seizing opportunities that they may have otherwise passed up. Malcolm Gladwell talks about the 10,000 Hour Rule and also how I.Q. does not amount to much without creativity. He also speaks of how chance opportunity comes into play and that the distant background of a person still reflects how they handle situations in their present day life. Gladwell’s Outliers successfully informs the reader about the different components that add up to success with probable theories and credible studies to make for an interesting and motivational read.
Moreover, this concept of free will and becoming financially self-reliant is still prevalent in modern society. The mid-twentieth (20th) to the early twenty-first (21st) century has become the age of entrepreneurship, where peoples from all nations no longer desire to work “for the man” but create their own legacy of prosperity. Likewise, it is a period in time that has redefined the way in which those from all walks of life can obtain success and wealth. Hence, the evolution of reality TV stars, YouTube sensations and rappers from being ordinary individuals to becoming fashion designers, actors and CEOs. However, our definition of success is not only defined by wealth it also includes having a life of meaning that is similar to that of Dr. Martin Luther king Jr. and Malcolm X. Certainly, I am speaking of a life that encompasses the ability to change our world for the better.
Whatever one thinks about all the time tends to happen, hence the title “Think and Grow Rich.” Using the examples of past success, such as his son and Edwin C. Barnes, Hill shows how a burning desire, persistence and other principles, if done effectively, can be combined to create favorable conditions towards success. This book is written to guide anybody, in any occupation, with everyday endeavors, because new inspirations can always be found. Hill stresses principles, methods that have to deal with the mind because it is a powerful weapon. This book was written during the Era of the Great depression, and it could still be used for modern day situations because the techniques, teachings and instructions do not get old.
There was once a man, for the sake of the story we’ll name him James. James had been lucky enough to be born into a great family. His parents had decent jobs their whole lives, so his family had money. With that money and a little bit of hard work it was not too hard for James to make it into one of the top universities, and graduate straight into a decent paying job. After a few years working at that job James had earned a nice house and a beautiful car. At this time he realized that he felt like he needed something more. James decided that with where he was financially now would be a good time to start a family. He began the long journey looking for a wife; and a few years later he found the perfect women, fell in love, and had a child. The one thing James didn’t know about having a family and having a job is how to juggle the two together. He didn’t want to have less money now than he did before he got married, so he started working more hours in order to make up for the income he was losing. In doing this he missed his only child growing up. Before he knew it he was missing his son’s baseball games. His wife was begging him to come home. James was making empty promises, and he was losing control of his life. One day he came home from work and saw a bunch of boxes. His wife came out of their bedroom kissed him on his cheek and walked out the front door; followed by their son. That night James reflected back on a lot of the choices he had made. He realized that he had been doing everything wrong. He thought back to a time when his father took days off of work to do things for him and his mom. At that moment he realized that he needed to change his ways. He realized that there are many things that had a play in his su...
Conclusion Time: The “glorious” life ain’t all that it’s cracked up to be. Because when a person wakes up from the fantasy of having everything they want, they are able to realize that money is nothing more than paper with a dead man’s face on it. The youth should know that there is more to life than wealth. Look hard, and they will be able to find what I’m talking about.

The best investment anyone can make is an investment in them; we must first distinguish and understand how to do so, and take the appropriate actions. “Obviously building character of total integrity and living the life of love and service that creates such unity isn’t easy. It isn’t a quick fix.” (Covey 318) With the knowledge I have learned and retained from reading this book, I have begun my transition to becoming a highly effective
