The Goals of Summer

- When May comes for most kids only one thing is on their mind. Summer break. As they finish up their school the kids prepare for long lazy afternoons, swimming, and just being kids. They don’t need to worry about a paper that needs to be done or math homework. Instead they can just sit back and relax. I like many other kids however think of experience and worthwhile experiences when it comes to my summer break. While I certainly don’t want to leave out relaxing besides the beach, a summer break can give me experiences I couldn’t otherwise have such as practicing a new skill....   [tags: summer vacation, summer break]

Family Tradition : A Summer Vacation

- Our imperative family tradition was a summer vacation. Completely neglecting any responsibilities for a week, vacations were the perfect excuse. Fostering an environment for bonding, our annual vacations helped in creating lifelong memories. According to a Disney Time Survey conducted by Kelton, 82% of time on vacation is considered family time. This finding is evident, especially in one of my recent vacations. The months preceding and following this specific family trip, were filled with various milestones which prohibited much bonding: my mother’s diagnosis of Lung Cancer, my older sister’s wedding day, and my senior year preparation....   [tags: Sibling, Family, Mother, Summer]

- "Summer Of The Seventeenth Doll" is a timeless play as it can be transposed to be as relevant today as when it was written. The play is definitely a tragi-comedy but more than the ideas raised in the statement the play is about change and the inability for some to deal with it, the battle between dream and reality and loyalty and mateship. It also serves as a social document of Australia in the 1950s. The Best Summer Of My Life

- This summer was the best summer of my life; I went to many baseball games, and I kept track of how many in the season of 2016, with nineteen games in total. In the process, I got a baseball with six signatures and a phone number. From time to time, I would pick up the baseball from my large bookcase as a reminder. I would smile and shake my head. The ball felt rough in my hand from the scars. It wasn 't as white anymore and it has collected dirt all around the baseball. The red seams were faded, as well as the three blue logos....   [tags: Baseball, Major League Baseball, Midwest League]

My Favorite Drink Of The Summer

- Pitchers of iced tea, lemonade, and coolers filled with drinks lay underneath the oak tree in her backyard, embraced by its shade. I began to fill my cup with half lemonade, half iced tea to complete my favorite drink of the summer.
