Metallix Scotland Limited is a traditional manufacturing company based in Edinburgh. Employing 270 staff, the company mechanizes components for the automotive and aerospace industry. In order to ensure the quality of its products, MSL has relied upon customer Quality Assurance audits. However, it has been decided that the company will gain ISO 9001 accreditation and the customer base have supported this decision and agreed to the move. This can allow Metallix to develop the minimum amount of documentation need in order to demonstrate the effective planning, operations and processes, the implementation and continuous improvement of the QMS.
QMS documentation should include:
· Statements of the Quality Policy
· A quality manual
· Principles of the ISO 9001 and the procedures required
· Documented planning, operations and control of the company’s processes.

Resource Management:
Resource Management is important to the organisation because it is required to enhance customer satisfaction by meeting the customers’ requirements. Resource management is also essential to implement the QMS and continually improving its effectiveness.
The organisation must hire to meet the required standards, provide full training and determine the effectiveness of the training. The organisation must set up the needed facilities and maintain them for high class training. All personnel who affect the quality should be trained and qualified for specific
