Thesis Statement

The future of education has been tremendously influenced by the wisdom of the past, the structure of the present, and the meaning of what will come in the future.

Introduction

The future of education has been tremendously influenced by the wisdom of the past, the structure of the present, and the meaning of what will come in the future. Education is an significant factor in the growth of students and teachers. Education has changed over the years while the past, present, and future of education itself is developing on a regular basis. In the past,education has acquired many educational theories. One educational theory I would like to focus on is progressivism and how it has shaped education. In the past, we had many philosophers who supported and guided the educational world. These philosophers shaped the structure of education. Exploring the history of education is fascinating. The history really developed what education has become. Today schools are made up of three central aspects classroom structure, curriculum and standards, and educational trends. Education today focuses on what children should learn, the environment in which it occurs, who teaches them what, and how. As a new teacher it is paramount to create our own vision of what the purpose and structure of schools should be.

In the past, education was clear, cut, and dry. I’m sure everyone has heard a story from their parents or grandparents, “ In my day I walked 5 miles in the snow, rain, or heat to school.” ring any bells!
