Again, there are many factors considered when approaching this task as our research can be conducted through the use of both quantitative and qualitative methods, which allows us to explain the concepts of our study. We amalgamate the quantitative research (survey) and qualitative research (interviews) to provide an enhanced perception of our research question and factor in many of the reasons on why parents or students prefer certain schools over others. In accordance to ethics, we clarify the ethical concerns of data-collection and aim to ensure that the information provided, will be anonymous and accessible to subjects.
Furthermore, there are no exact answers that we can find but only a fragment of possibilities that our research portrays in answering a complex and constant issue in school choices and the inequality that marketing schools incriminates (Campbell, 2013). Our core focuses are the privatisation of schooling, parent and student choice, funding of different schools, ethnography of students and privilege, which are fundamentally the notions that affect school choice (Cobbold, 2007; Birrell, 2001; English, 2004).
