She is dependable and a person many people in the building go to for several things, she is one of the leaders in the school. However, the principal often throws tasks at her and she ends up doing odd jobs through the day that interfere with what she is actually there to do. For example, the counselor does lunch duty several times a week along with recess duty. This often takes time out of her day instead of her seeing students or running groups she is doing tasks ASCA calls inappropriate. Although it does take up valuable time, lunch duty also doubles as a positive for counselors in some cases.
