Part 1: School and District Background Information
The Conval School District became what it is today in 1988 (Appendix E). Conval has gone through a number of changes throughout the years. The region started with each town having individual schools representing kindergarten through high school. In approximately 1971 members of the Antrim school board explored whether to combine Antrim with the neighboring Hillsborough-Deering School District or the Peterborough School District. Members of the Antrim school board favored the Peterborough School district and eventually voted unanimously to consolidate with Peterborough. Eventually, each town decided to come together to create one district that incorporated the towns of Temple, Francestown, Bennington, Greenfield, Hancock, Sharon, Peterborough, Dublin, and Antrim. Peterborough would serve as the centralized location for the SAU and the high school. The towns came together to form the cooperative school district in 1968 (B. White, personal communication, March 3, 2016). The district has been facing efficiency hardships since at least 1965 (Appendix E). Further research is needed to investigate how to get stakeholders to buy in and create meaningful change within the school district budget.

...re given more opportunity it is not necessarily returning increased student performance. The study found that when districts consolidated, that per-pupil cost amplified and student achievement diminished. Other drawbacks that appear with consolidation the loss of local business and a loss of community (B. White, personal communication, March 3, 2016). With all of the research that was investigated pointing towards maintaining the current model of community schools, it appears the district needs a fresh approach to what type of change needs to happen. The budget speed bumps are going to continue to be present each year. In completion of a comprehensive proactive budget process. The conversations need to start shifting away from consolidation. Consolidation is beginning to look like a road block rather than a bridge to an efficient and high performing school district.

The Aesthetic Quality Of Tempe Elementary School District 's Website Design

- While the aesthetic quality of Tempe Elementary School District’s website design is similar to Clayton schools in that the homepage is colorful with a vibrant red, white, and blue color scheme and utilizes a banner of large graphics, making it look professional and clean, that is the only similarity I found. Overall, this website received 22 points out of a total of 30 points for quality of design. Navigation from page to page is easy, but the pages are somewhat long and consist of small print. The Elementary School Start Times Essays

- 1. I used the phrase “elementary school start times” in the University of North Florida’s OneSearch database to find this particular research study. I chose this study to analyze for multiple reasons. First, the study was able to collect information from nearly every elementary school in the state of Kentucky. A higher sample size can provide a greater amount of validity. Second, this research study directly focused on my topic of interest. I am intrigued by the differentiation in American education, especially different yearly school calendars, different daily school schedules, and, as studied here, different school start times....   [tags: High school, School types, Primary school]

High School At A University Or A Small College Essay

- When students move on from high school to a university or a small college, are they actually prepared. In the U.S., high schools don’t simulate a full on college or adult life. Instead, most teachers rely heavily on a general learning method created by the state and school districts. Even though many nations outside of the U.S. do things differently, things still stay the same. High school students are taught that teachers are just here to teach, only good grades matter, stress is just something of your imagination so participate in more activities, and that school is very important so cut some weight to make our athletic program the best....   [tags: High school, College, Education, Teacher]
