The annual business sales of the company are about $500,000, which is below the average sales levels of similar companies. The number of employees is 5-9, which is below the average number of employees in this category. The annual sales per employee and the years in business are low compared to other companies in this category. This indicates that the Sample Company can use the remote routing of employees to increase sales per employee, annual sales, and number of employees. The adoption of the remote employee policy can aid in the overall performance of this company in the market category. This article will articulate the working policy of empowering the remote employees, for the eventual functioning and growth of the company.
Reasons for Advocating the Remote Policy
Remote working conditions are a beneficial platform for the employees and the Sample Company, in order to achieve growth. This mode of work encourages the flexibility of the employees in their own atmosphere. Therefore, the employees do not have specific working hours, as long as the work gets done. Employees can also work in their most appropriate environments where there are fewer disturbances from their colleagues (Fried & Hansson, 2013). Working remotely gives employees a higher concentration span that can increase productivity. However, the one downside is that, “The remote workers receive little feedback, and much of the feedback they do receive is negative” (Falkowski & Troutmau, 2005). With that being said, the company will have to except the good with the bad to sustain adaptive growth.
