Just because society rejects the practice of homosexuality, doesn’t mean they have the right to discriminate against people that identify themselves as lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender, or any other means. People that are opposed to same-sex marriage think it would undermine traditional marriage, that it could open to what isn’t “natural” or “by God’s means” (Same-sex marriage) it will allow incest, bestiality, and other immoral things to be “acceptable”. However, that is going too far. People that identify as homosexual are not doing any of that. They are human beings too; they just do not like the opposite sex as a partner or being attractive. Marriage is a union for a man and a woman. And it involves the procreation of children. This is the most tremendous reason why people are so resistant to same-sex marriage. Because of their beliefs they say that the Bible tells them that lesbian and gay parenting and marriage is unnatural and sinful. Many lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people believe in God, yet they are rejected by churches and even family, having to feel a betrayal that they cannot be who they want to be because of the others that think it is an abomination. They often say and believe that naturally God loves all his children and that it is okay to sin, that God will love and except them.
