Furthermore, unions state that right to work states have less education benefits, delivering less money to the education institution than those within the right to work states. These accusations are unfounded and people are becoming more enlightened on the fallacies of the union rhetoric.
Union dues and fees contribute to more out of pocket expenses for workers than ever before. The money raised by the unions may not affect those employees with issues within that organization. The money goes into a larger accounting pool to support a larger union effort. Union dues are directly correlated with the political contributions spent on specific candidates seen as pro-union. right to work, states protect employee’s freedom to choose and attract businesses that do not want to deal or cannot afford to deal with the unions. Unions control the supply of labor in an industry, which in return drives up manufacturing cost and fewer profits for the organization. FIGURE 3. depicts political contributions by unions.

Studying the effects, from an economic standpoint, from employees who leave union jobs and take non-union jobs become difficult to measure. Unions argue that those who leave have a substantial reduction in pay when they take non-union jobs. The issue with that delineation; is when most people leave a job, they do not start at the same salary or do the same work. This indicates a disparity from the thought process the unions tend to argue. Furthermore, those individuals who left a union job for a non-union job is less likely to enter into a union again, unless it is a public sector labor union. In today’s global markets, those corporations with higher labor costs go out of business. Unions cannot protect employees without jobs. The middle class has begun to retract, affecting every aspect of the local, state and federal government.
