These demands are stated in each of the military branches creed and each member of their respective branch is expected to live their life, both in the military and as a civilian, in the way that their creed states which is known as the standard. If a student does not wish to write a persuasive essay solely due to the fact that the said student does not like the persuasive style than that student will surely receive a failing grade from his/her instructor. In this case the instructor has many reasons to fail the said student. From the lack effort that student put in why should he/she receive a passing grade and the instructor knows that the student maybe struggling with this particular style of writing however the instructor forces the student to write this way in order to better that student because the ancient teacher Aristotle and Socrates would have done the same to better their students and society. In this example the student, a soldier, wishes to go against what the instructor, an NCO, even though the instructor knows what is best for his/her students and knows that if the student follows the same teachings as Aristotle and Socrates, tradition, than everything will continue in peace and the students will only benefit from this action. While this statement may seem appealing and something that is impossible to deny, there are many reasons why “times are changing and everyone should have the same rights” has no room in the military. For starters, less than 1% of the entire United States of America population serves in the United States Armed Forces. That means out of 313.9 million people (Google 2012) less than 1% of that population serves in either the National Guard, Reserves or Active Duty yet over 99% of the population feels entitled to make the decisions of the United States of America Armed Forces. In civilian tradition the American subculture was outraged when they found out that the top wealthy 1% “controls the world and controls the media and controls the ideas for the other 99%” yet that same 99% wants to tell the United States Armed Forces, which once again is less than 1%, what should and should not happen. When it comes to the traditions of the United States Armed Forces, where does a society have any room to dictate to those who serve in combat and defend a nation’s freedom yet complain that a certain percent of Americans control everything? This essay seeks to explore whether the American Legion’s charter should be amended so as to better reflect our nation’s appreciation for those who serve in times of war and peace. Indeed, it is an issue made all the more cogent today: With increasing numbers of young Americans rejecting the armed forces as a career option, recruitment goals are not being met and the military is being forced to lower its entrance requirements. If this trend is not soon reversed, the U.S. military could be perceived as incapable of implementing our nation’s strategic policies abroad -- a perception that can only encourage the most aggressive ambitions of other nations.

Although the living conditions of children are getting lot better than when we were kids, the children study more time than we did. The pupils have to get up at earlier than 7 o 'clock to make sure they won’t be late for school. Not only have that, these pupils still had to participate in various after school program, and a lot of variety of training during the weekends. The most pressure is homework. As a summer school teacher, I always can hear kids say that the teacher gave them too much work, had to spend two hours a day to compete the homework, and have no time to play. Is it too much pressure for the kids? That is the question for most of the parents. What should the parents as should do to let these children relax and do not have that much pressure? Since the dawn of humanity, exercise has been crucial for physical survival. In recent times, however, exercise is losing its significance to human survival. Some would argue that it already has lost its significance, and as exercise becomes less important, people exercise less. According to fitness.gov, only 33% of adults receive the recommended amount of physical activity each week (citation). Clearly there is a problem. With a full scholarship your time is dedicated to getting to class on time, finishing assignments, and making it to mandatory practices while also maintaining a strict workout schedule. Students should have a balance of street smarts and book smarts so they can be successful in whichever career they may choose. If the typical education focuses on teaching the students only certain areas they may or may not use, then how will the students be completely prepare for life? If education is supposed to prepare students for life, then can anyone really limit or define education? In 2013 Apple sold over 33.8 million IPhones in total. About 20% of more than 4,400 11-18 year old students have been a victim of any inappropriate use of technology. This includes cheating, sexting, and cyberbullying. Some school districts are beginning to relax on policies regarding the use of personal electronics in schools. Over 75% of teenage students have cell phones. If that 75% brought their phones to school what would the other 25% of the students do? I strongly believe that personal electronics should not be allowed in schools.
