In the past 20 years, the world that we live in has evolved exponentially, technological breakthroughs have fuelled this evolution and are still continuously doing so. One such advent was the arrival of internet. Internet started its journey as a slow and unreliable tool mainly targeted at academicians for research purposes but since then it has grown in both size and services. Today it touches almost every aspect of our day to day lives. From medical field to military operations, from high speed communication to global navigation, its applications can be experienced everywhere. The internet has continuously contributed to the radical changes in many facets of human endeavours, including the commerce.
It is a well documented fact that internet grows by over a million pages every day. From personal entertainment to professional training, internet has become one universal service hub.
The unparalleled effect that internet had on commerce can be very well understood by studying the industrial and economical growth in late 90s, this period of high economic growth is referred to as “The .com bubble”. It won’t be wrong to say that internet made a million millionaires.
Anyone can benefit from the untapped potential of services that internet has to offer. With a bit of effort, knowledge and right attitude, anyone can earn a decent income from internet.
If you think that only business men with deep pockets can reap profits from internet then you have the wrong idea and probably the wrong attitude too. Anyone can make money online, even if you don’t have a product of your own to sell. Such an opportunity is presented by Affiliate marketing.

Affiliate marketing has managed to stay popular with both merchants and affiliates. It is beneficial for the merchant as affiliate marketing follows a “pay for performance” model. This model protects the merchant’s interests as no marketing costs are incurred on merchant’s part unless results are accrued. The interests of the affiliates are secure too, payments to the affiliates are made by the network on behalf of merchants, this avoids any unnecessary conformations and misunderstandings.

Online Retail outlets and online businesses have considerably increased in the past decade and are continuously expanding throughout the world. Availability of more secure services and risk minimizing softwares has helped increase the number of customers or buyers. This is just one more reason to head towards affiliate marketing in the quest of making money online.
