• Consistently recurring themes throughout the readings: ways to avoid biased measurements when researchers design the questionnaire and study.
• There might be some techniques superior to others, but the superiority might change depending on the subject matter; thus there is no one perfect technique fits for every study.
• The answers from the respondents might often be deceived, thus researchers need to implement ways to identify the answers from genuine ones.
• You should know your respondents (take their demographics and tendency in answering the questionnaire and other factors that might influence the outcome of the studies)
• Respondents’ inclination to answer in a particular way is somewhat related to what we observed from the previous two readings (Age of propaganda ad Influence): commitment, social desirability and etc.
• Certainty/uncertainty plays an important role in predicting attitude and behavior; removing uncertainty might greatly increase the validity and the reliability of the study. (Either for the respondents or the readers of the studies)
• There are a number of factors involved in predicting the respondents’ attitude and behavior.
• People don’t always behave as they say they would and this can be problematic for researchers.
• Having consistency in making questionnaire is a key to design questionnaire.
• Minor differences such as order of question, the arrangement of word, a number of scales matter a lot.
• The response time, honesty and accuracy of the information given by the respondents are related.

• It is interesting to see that multi-tasking might cause disruption and disruption reduces the level of comprehension and in turn inhibits counter-arguing.

• From the reading material by Kerr, it is suggested that not all scientific studies are objective and I have to keep that in mind that I should try to make my studies as objective as possible while avoiding risks from external barriers.

• Many of my studies involve with health related issues, ad campaigns and public service announcements. When using HARKing approach, I have to be very careful about ethical issue as the study can be misrepresenting or misleading the results and thus might put people in danger.

• It is also true that drawing a line for if a study utilized HARKing approach or not is extremely tricky and difficult to do and often times it is hard to not to use it.
