In order to understand new approaches to motivation and improving work performance, you have to know the key factors which are being intrinsic and extrinsic motivation. Intrinsic motivation is something that is motivated by internal factors as opposed to the drivers of extrinsic motivation. Extrinsic motivation is primarily motivated by external factors. Each of these motivators has different motives that drive them. Intrinsic motivation tends to drive people to do the right things for the fun of it while extrinsic motivation drives people to do things for
First attribute is expertise which is such the art and science of ethically using of combat power to establish the peace and defend the Constitution from enemies both domestic and foreign. The Army did research and develop the expertise in to four fields; “military-technical, human development, moral-ethical, and political-cultural expertise.” The military-technical expertise is developed for the Army to perform effective military operations at all levels. Doctrines, tactics, and strategies were built from current situations in order to achieve the operations. The human development is the field that train, educate and develop volunteers to be Soldiers and further develop Soldiers to be leaders. The objective of the moral-ethical field is to teach the Soldiers to morally fight the war by using ethical principles, ROEs, and education values. In the political-culture field, Soldiers are taught on the civil-military and media-military relations to understand how to deal with civilian and media. Soldiers also learn other languages and culture. So they do not create the cultural conflict with others.1 On the other hand, documents sh...

The Philippine Military Academy, as a premiere military institution in the Southeast Asia, bears the task of producing quality military officers and efficient leaders for the Philippine government. As such, the recruitment of cadets for the academy is no simple endeavour. Cadet applicants are screened and subjected to several recruitment requirements to determine their suitability for the academy. More often they are referred to as the “cream of the crop.”
to do by the schools if we are to enable LEP students to achieve at high academic levels. Improvement would have to focus on teachers, teaching, academic content and standards,
Community is like a Venn diagram. It is all about relations between a finite group of people or things. People have their own circles and, sometimes, these circles overlap one another. These interceptions are interests, common attitudes and goals that we share together. These interceptions bond us together as a community, as a Venn diagram. A good community needs good communication where people speak and listen to each other openly and honestly. It needs ti...
A service learning experience is designed to enhance a student 's growth in personal and social development and to obtain an understanding of community involvement. For my service learning experience, I volunteered at Change Point Center. In this reflection paper, I will discuss in depth information about the services that Change Point provides, my goals while I was there, and what I ultimately learned from this experience.
...cally, many of these programs once existed in Schools and Community Centers but because of the lack of funding were cut or deemed unessential. By focusing on Schools and Community Centers, the PHN can affect change in younger generations and by doing so affect change in older generations by the spreading of interests and concerns for personal safety through education and mentorship, which would positively influence development of Personal Responsibility. Companies that show positive changes or maintain a high degree in Safety Program proficiency/effectively could receive tax breaks or other financial rewards. The development of these programs shall effect changes due to repetition and familiarity from on the job performance, and trickle down to the younger generations through proper mentorship with the overall effect increasing individual personal responsibility.
Joining the military is not just a job or a path to a career, but a life style that requires dedication. The life style of a service member is not easy and is made up of many different characteristics which is known as the warrior society. Authoritarian structure, isolation and alienation, class system, parent absence, importance of mission, and preparation for disaster: war make up the culture aspects of the warrior society and will be discussed in further detail (Hall, 2008).
Another point is the use of motivational techniques to train and develop employees, which is mentioned above.
American military history has the potential to inspire greatness in not only youth but people of all ages. When people read about historical figures, even if they aren 't well known, who went above and beyond the standard they gain a sense of inspiration. However, in addition to a sense of inspiration many people gain a better sense of duty even if they do not actively serve in the armed forces. Additionally, another quite remarkable trait the military possesses is the ability to perform in high stress environments under less than ideal conditions. An example of this would be soldiers continuing to execute missions after weeks and months of little to no sleep, food, and
(Isaac, Newton). Analogous to the duty of Americans to protect and serve for interest of country. Two years of compulsory service can provide useful skills to young adults for a life time and the reason to enact conscription. To most young adults the first question is,” how is this going to benefit me?” “What do I get out of it?” First, military service can give a young adult direction in life. If a young man or women is not sure of where or what they want to do or be in life they can fulfill their commitment to two years of service while they decide what they want to pursue in life. Service can also provide opportunities to pursue new interest, new trade skills or finite and master skills. Compulsory service can also provide a young adult with life skills that can be beneficial throughout life. A two year commitment can insure communications skills which will be beneficial in the future and are essential skills to both personal and professional lives. Additionally, implementation of conscription builds leadership and the keys to success. Service can also provide young adults with healthy choice in life, whether it be physical fitness, mental stability, being an active member of society or having self-confidence. These are all attributes earned by serving and a reason that compulsory service is useful to young
From an adolescence age, the desire to service my country is that of great immensity within myself. I learned from my Mother’s philosophical mindset that an individual’s country comes first and foremost. Witnessing the ferocity, the terrorism, the ghastly acts committed upon humanity and the United States has only invigorated my unbending aspiration to serve.
...t I’m learning now by being in PLP is helping me prepare for these goals and life dreams. This is being achieved through the other students I not only live with, but also have class with, the volunteering opportunities, the classes, and the connections. One of my favorite quotes to live by is from William Arthur Ward and that is, “If you can dream it, you can achieve it,” and I feel like I am working towards just that at this point in my life.
